We have managed once!
As it is the school holidays, I feel more like a house wife doing all the cooking and cleaning and housework, so defintiely not got the energy to DTD! i did try and point out to DH that during term time I work nearly every evening until at least 9pm doing planning and marking, so the long school holidays are my time to rest, not take over all chores!!
Rambosmum, why not host Christmas, but your OH is responsible for EVERYTHING, including cooking, food ordering, and cleaning?
I am hoping for just us for Xmas, but MIL wants us round theirs. It is just up the road, but if i am big, fat and pregnant, I really do not want to spend Xmas day at their house! Might suggest DH and his brother do the cooking round here and I put my feet up all day!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
In theory we're supposed to be spending Christmas in Cornwall with my sister in law (we take it in turns to host) - I'll be about 37 weeks and it's a 3 hour drive from where we live. At the moment though, mother in law is trying to convince sister in law it would be better to do Christmas as hers instead (the in laws only live half a mile from us) - I'm just sitting back and letting them fight it out between themselves!
Also {holds hand up} another one here who hasn't DTD since before we conceived...0 -
Thanks ladies, you are all making me feel so much better!0

Thanks for all the DTD sharing, I feel lots better knowing it's not just me0

Hi ladies,
Im still here, 22 weeks on sat, i cant believe how quick its going! 2 weeks and i'll be off to the big big thread (fingers crossed!!)
Im due to have a c-section on the day after boxing day, and have asked my parents if we can have xmas dinner there. They live about 5 miles away, and its actually closer to the hospital!
As for dtd we've tried twice, and neither time was it fun!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Just a quickie. Does anyone else still feel weird telling people? Told a few more people at work and they are telling others. I know I cant keep it secret for forever, but it still feels strange somehow. I guess part of me is freaking out a little about the scan next week.0
-
I know what you mean, I get really embarrassed and don't know how to say it. We are not very 'in your face people' and I feel like I'm being a bit big-headed and showing off (if that makes sense?!)
My question is does everyone else feel like an airship?! So bloated today I'm amazing I haven't just floated off somewhere over my desk, haha0 -
I put it on Facebook after my 12 week scan, and I'd also had a private scan at 10 weeks (thought I was 9).
Word soon got round my office and its very obvious I am pregnant now as bigger than this stage when I had my son. I was a size 10 when I got pregnant with him though :rotfl:
It is odd to think people are talking about you, but can't stop that :cool:0
