  • Glad you are feeling better Niptuckfan, I really don't miss the sickness-despite the amount of people that tried to convince me that more sickness means a healthier baby!
I've definitely woken up on the wrong side of bed today, can't be bothered to do anything and there is loads to do, but at least I'm not at work. Have a nice wet Bank Holiday everyone :-)
  • yes i have heard that too TAmVilla its not at all reassuring:mad:

  • Hey guys, thought I would check in. We had a gender scan but due to baby's position and being a bit early we are unsure and have to go back this weekend. Our hospital now tell you what the sex is but wouldn't when I was pg with ds. So at least it will be confirmed. Not much happening here, only 2weeks until big scan and have been feeling the odd flutter.
    Mum of 2 :j
  • Going to love you and leave you as now 24 weeks  So off to the main pregnancy thread now

Will see you all over there soon, but no doubt will still lurk on here a bit :p
  • Goodbye diamond orchid, i'll join you next week all being well. Bit
    Of a scary thought tbh!

Dd is back in school tomorrow and i cant help thinking
That as soon as this term
Is over i'll be having a baby.

Back in work today after 19 days off, and i meed to sort my mat leave with my boss. Has anyone had the matb1 yet?
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Hi everyone, what rubbish weather. Chucking it down here.

Bye diamond orchid. See you again soon.

Rambosmum, how is the kitchen going!

Hi niptuckfan. Glad to see you over here.

littleskintdragon, I am 20 weeks today. My scan is Friday. I have no idea how to get hold of the MATB1, guess I will text the midwife. My HR are asking for it before they can send me a letter, and I need to confirm when I want leave for maternity. Eek!
  • Bye Diamond Orchid!!!

morning all, i am defiantely starting to feel a bit better 13 week +2 and was awake till 10pm last night LOL

my folks have been so lovely re the pregnancy dad making me lunch my mum nearly had me in tears she made me a brooch using a nappy pin from my real nappies when i was a baby, with a pink and a blue charm (i aint finding out sex) and a baby charm:D never really thought about that side of things how a baby brings family together were a close family anyway but this seems to have brought us closer:p

  • See you soon Diamond Orchid! I'm 23+1 today and baby was soooo active over the weekend, he's wriggling all over the place and I'm feeling (and seeing) movements all around my lower belly, it's such a strange but lovely feeling :happyhear

Those wondering about the MATB1 form, I was given mine by the midwife I saw immediately after our 20 week scan. She told me to keep it safe before handing it to my employer because they only give you one!

Anyone else having or had the glucose tolerance test? I've been told (and confirmed in 2 letters) that I can't eat or drink after 10pm the night before (other than sips of water if I need to take prescribed medication), but this weekend I saw on another forums that this is outdated advice and some mums-to-be are being encouraged to drink water as normal. It does seem to vary from one authority to another so I'll obviously stick to what my hospital have advised, it just seems strange!

Niptuckfan, glad you're starting to feel a bit better, it was such a relief for me when the constant nausea subsided. I'm also loving the impact this is having on our families and us as a couple, we're in such a lovely place right now.
