12-24 weeks pregnant (part 4)

Scan done. All ok. Got placenta previa so have to have another scan at 36 weeks, though they've actually booked it in when I'm 31+4!

And it's a girl. The sonographer didn't say, but when she showed us the baby the screen we had a really clear view between the legs! Obviously we could be wrong, and we didn't want to find out anyway, but it's kind of nice us sort of knowing. We aren't going to tell anyone else though.

Hello highlandlass and sweetilemon!

Thanks for the info rambosmums and diamond orchid about the placenta - I'm hoping it'll move as well but if it needs to be a C-section, well that'll be fine, whatever's best for the baby
Got my next scan on 18th September, thankfully later in the afternoon though so hopefully this time it won't be asleep. I'm going to ask about Vasa Praevia as well when I'm there, I fall into two of the 'at risk' groups (low lying placenta and an IVF baby) so I want to make sure they check that as well.

Starting to feel movements now as well, nothing specific like an actual kick but there's definitely something and I can see my belly wobble when I feel it - little one seems to wake up about 2pm!

Hi everyone, had my 12 week scan today, all went well. Didn't manage to get the downs test despite my jumping up and down! Bought the first little cozy onzie. So pleased.

Hi Sweetie. Glad all went well :-) We had to shake, move and even go for a walk but no much luck either. Think it's quite common and we have another appointment tomorrow, so not overly worried.
Just found out my sister is pregnant too, about 6 days between us at the moment. We are literally like buses, wait ages and then get 2 at once, haha. Mum in knitting overdrive, virtual smoke coming off her needles!

Haha Tam, my mother in law is overwhelmed too, my SIL is due 12weeks ahead of me. My mums been knitting and buying - everything!

Consultants appointment this morning. Saw an idiot of a doctor, clearly no idea why I was there. But the good news is I have been discharged from the heart clinic! Now only my thyroid to contend with.

Hi Pootle, congrats! I'm the 27th too - I'm thinking if it is the 29th then that's got to be lucky or something?! Then you get the whole dilemma of do you celebrate birthdays on the 28th or the 1st for 3 years?

Been for quads test at the hospital at the morning. Stupid veins mean I have 5 puncture wounds after being poked by 3 different nurses and having to have some kind of special expensive needle - I'm literally covered in cotton wool balls and tape! :rotfl:
