Some bases work with isofix points and seatbelts, so you could use it in both cars. The model we've gone for is either/or though, no mix & match option unfortunately (so I intend to get another year out of this car!).

We eventually went for the Cosatto Ooba, we were leaning towards the Cosatto Giggle 2 but then we saw a great deal for the Ooba by chance in a shop someone recommended. Absolutely love how it looks and it has everything we need. Plus DH managed to figure the whole thing out without the instruction manual, bonus!

Just popping in from the other pregnancy thread!

We've just had our Maxi Cosi Pebble Plus seat delivered. It meets the new i Size requirements and can be isofixed and belted. Needs to be used with the 2 way base, which you can then use again with the 2way Pearl seat when they've grown out of the baby carrier, so they can be rear facing for up to 4 years. Also fits onto the adapters that come with some of the bigger pram names (we've got an Uppababy Vista).

We have a mamas and papas sola pram, we had a mothercare travel system with our first but I hated it and we got the sola when loo was about 1. We have got a maxi cosi pebble to go in this so we are covered for baby and then sitting up. Our car although 2009 does not have iso fix so we only have seat belt for the car seat.
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • Morning,

Well i think ive finally stopped feeling sick :) 16w 5d today i think!
Noticed ive felt better for the past 3 days.

I have to get a double pushchair this time
Because ds is almost 2, and very lazy when it comes to walking.
I got an icandy last time, which the maxi cosi seat fits into. I also had the car seat base (2nd hand from fb) u can use the maxi cosi seats with or without the bases.
I love this pushchair and am gutted that i have to use a double for a while instead of it!
Still here..... but working on that!

    Morning all.

Bit of a ramble really, just got to get it out.

Got the hospital appointment for the combine NT test tomorrow morning. Really not looking forward to it as I already know it means bad news (otherwise they wouldn't have called us in). OH is really ignorant of what they're going to discuss with us and seems totally unbothered by it all. His attitude seems to be 'if we have a kid with Downs so what' and 'if we have a kid with a condition not compatible with life we terminate and try again'. It just seems so simple to him.

I just don't know how I'm going to cope. I know I will, because in reality there isn't another option, you just get on with it. But he doesn't seem to be understanding why I'm so upset. I have to chose between not knowing and having a test which could lead me to miscarry a perfectly healthy baby. He just keeps focusing on the positives which is really frickin irritating!

Sorry for the rant. I'm just so anxious!

So sorry your feeling down rambosmum, it's totally understandable.

I am really hoping they are calling you in because results are borderline and they just want a chat, rather than anything more ominous, but if it was me in your shoes, I would be feeling exactly the same.

Please let us know how you get on tomorrow. We are all here if you need to vent or chat.

Hey Rambosmum, just sending hugs really. Your OH sounds a bit like mine. Its a combination of things with my OH, some of it is he feels like if he says he is worried or upset about something too then its not supporting me. So he goes with the it will be fine, matter of fact attitude which is really hard when you are having a melt down!

  • Hi everyone, moving up from other thread, im 12+3 today. This is pregnancy 3 and baby 2 as I miscarried in march. I still havent told too many people, im still very anxious.

Hugs rambosmum, like devildolly I really hope the results are borderline. Men have a total different mindset in situations, they just dont know what to do or say for the best. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

That is men for you - women worry about all the possibilities, and men seem to be able to paint everything in black and white!

    Infuriating isn't it?

I tried to bring up the subject of making a will with DH, particularly if something happened to both of us. DS would be looked after by my brother and his fiancee, but obviously asking someone to look after THREE kids needs more thought... DH looked at me like I had asked him something ridiculous!! I thought i was being quite sensible!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
