  • I wasn't aware that the car seat rule had changed to 30 minutes - it takes us eight hours to get to my parents' as it is  And we were stuck in traffic for 80 minutes on top as well on Tuesday.

We looked at the kiddy lie flat one in mothercare yesterday and it was absolutely massive!

I think we might go for the armadillo flip base because it folded down really easily and compact and perhaps the kiddy lie flat car seat with adaptors.

I'm 12 weeks today and I had my scan yesterday. Had to do lots of moving around to get the neck fluid measurement but we got there in the end. Feel like I can breathe a little easier today, knowing that everything looks ok so far.
  • Welcome to the thread Ratison! Hope you're keeping well.

20 weeks for us today :) the geek in me likes the balance of my pregnancy straddling 2 years so nicely. Getting excited about the scan on Thursday now. Movements are getting even bigger- definitely had a few kicks now, OH managed to get one yesterday so that kept him happy. At night time my tummy is starting to feel quite tender from the pounding it is getting. I wonder if the amount of movement I'm feeling is linked to the size of my bump? Both have been quite early.

Hope everyone has a lovely new year. I reckon I'll be in bed by midnight as having a girly day of theatre, lunch and shopping with my mum today so that will probably tire me out! Also we're hoping to start painting our bedroom tomorrow.

    Happy New Year everyone!

Is anyone planning on going to a baby show? I see there is one at the excel centre in London in March. And after spending more time reading about prams and travel systems I think we are going to have a look there and see if we can grab a deal- especially as a lot of new models are due out around that time

Hahaha put my normal jeans on this morning as due to washing backlog, that's all there was in the cupboard. They're doing back up at 13+4, even without a hairband to help - must have been a lot of bloating before christmas.

That sounds like hell on earth to me, especially as I will be 6 months gone by then! On the other hand, I can see that it might be a good opportunity to see what's around, and try stuff out...

Very pleased that the Christmas Food Baby has diminished a little - all trousers still doing up fine at 16 weeks. The bloating over xmas was not fun though.

Glad your scan went well Ratison :)

Nice quiet New Year for me, asleep by 10pm :rotfl: definitely different from previous years.

Vanilla I was looking at one, but Glasgow's isn't until May and by then I'll be 36 weeks or so, so not sure itl be much use. Saying that I'm in Cambridge visiting my friend the same weekend as the show at the Excel so may see if she fancies a wee trip.

I've not tried on my jeans for a few weeks, don't think I'll fare as my tummy is definitely more rounded and hard. I finally ordered a bunch of stuff of Asos the other day so hopefully be here soon and I can finally get into a pair of jeans again. Getting a bit bored of wearing leggings all the time.
  • Is there a 24 week+ thread?

Baby show sounds pretty awful to me! I'm struggling to brace myself for going to John Lewis which is only 10 mins away, has easy parking, nice cafe etc. But then again we've decided not buy lots at all, and then pick up any stuff as we go along. We're pretty lucky as we're walking distance from town and have big out of town shops close so not too traumatic to get stuff. Plus I think we'll get a lot of newborn/0-3 mths stuff from BIL and SIL as they are due in January and have been clear they won't try for a third.

April- my asos stuff came in 2 days last week so hopefully yours will be hear soon. Unlike my next stuff which is delivery of 2 weeks
