    Here's hoping Penguin.

New we picked up some baby clothes in the Next sale. Got a fair few things for further down the line. I didn't really want to start buying clothes until after the 20 week scan but couldn't help myself. It is a hard tie on whether to buy now or wait till later on, but as you said you don't really wanna miss out on a bargain. If you can store a buggy then I say why not. Our friends bought theirs not long after their 12 week scan because the price they were getting it for in the black Friday sale.

Hope everyone had a good christmas. 19 weeks tomorrow but not feeling any movement yet - i have anterior placenta.

I've bought a few thing in the sales ; some unisex newborn and 0-3 months sleepsuits from john lewis, mothercare and boots.

Also bought these from boots but stock seems to have sold out :

Good luck with the scan Arbrighton :)

Ah I didn't even think to look at John Lewis Vanilla.

What is everyone thinking in terms of buggies? I'm torn between buying the carry cot section for one or not, as I know my sisters/aunt never really used theirs. I personally find a car seat easier to deal with especially one that you can just fix to a base and then take it off and stick it in the car.

Moved forward from 12+3 to 13+1 at scan, NT measurement within range. Confirmed I will be having growth scans from 24 weeks thanks to a (miniscule) risk of problems associated with possibly having been exposed to the zika virus.

It just about seems real now.

Glad your scan went well arbrighton- welcome to the thread!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was more relaxed than we thought, not drinking meant we didn't have to stay over so it was quite nice to escape when we'd had enough. MIL didn't go too overboard- she did buy a teddy but it is smaller than the one our bump's cousin has, and she also bought us some sleep suits, baby gros, outfits and hats from next which are pretty cute and will at least get used. SIL and my mum both bought me comfy pyjamas so I was happy with that too!

I've bought a few more maternity clothes in the sale- got 2 pairs of next petite jeans for £30 so hopefully they will fit, and I've bought a few bits from asos that should arrive tomorrow or Friday. Not really looked at baby stuff, but we'll probably start after 20 week scan and when we've finished decorating upstairs/buying furniture for our bedroom.

We've also used the holiday to look at our finances a bit (it is MSE!). I'm pretty sure I'm going to take a full year off so we've done some basic calculations on what I'll get, and then we've started thinking about part time work after so looked into effect that will have on my pension. Also think we've worked out the going rate for nurseries around here.

I too have a possibility of being exposed to Zika in early
Pregnancy, not confirmed any extra scans yet - I just have an appointment with the consultant after my 20 week scan next week.

I believe it's recommended that baby be in carrycot position for first 6 months? I did tell TH that we could just use a sling but he thinks we should get it. I did prefer the bugaboo chameleon as it is slightly lighter than the uppababy, but think the JL offer has swayed us.

Time spent in car seat changed recently too, think they recommend only 20-30 mins?

Was slightly surprised to see consultant when they did my bloods this morning and once he'd looked up that Singapore was indeed on the Zika map, he said to MW to just get the growth scans for every 4 weeks listed on and two are already booked in!

To be fair, he was a bit surprised I knew that there was a good chance I'd need anti-D too. Not sure how many well-read and intelligent mums to be he meets!
