Hi Pidge and Sweet welcome! It's amazing isn't it. I loved my scan :) so much detail!

Aww bless her Sweet, just think how special it will be when she does feel it :)

I had my gender scan today :j I had it in my head it was a wee girl but no we've been blessed with a wee boy! The little monkey wouldn't let go of his chord after her first check, had me up jumping around so she could get another look in. Definitely stubborn :rotfl: My little sister cried when I told her, tbf she is only 7 and like me she gets so emotional at times :rotfl: it's finally sunk in that we are having a baby but not that we're having a boy.

    Welcome everyone.

That's exciting you're having a boy April! We're convinced ours is a boy, but we shall see in the new year.

How's everyone feeling? I had work Christmas do last night and am really wiped out from it! Been feeling a bit sick and dizzy a couple of times, but it improves with food. Looking forward to a break over Christmas
  • Penguin i seem to feel worse if I have had a long day/not enough rest. Find myself waking up with a headache along with the nausea. I must say it is a lot better than how I was feeling before.

Welcome Pidge_jen and nice to hear about your gender scan april. I too think we are having a boy although DH would love a girl.

It seems a lot of people had theirs Friday, I left mine about 8 but even then I was knackered. Didn't really sleep much Fri night but ended up crashing out about 630 last night and that was me til 430 this morning. I cannot handle these late nights 😂

Penguin definitely looking forward to some time off just to chill and not have to rush around with last minute Christmas stuff.
  • Pidge Jen - we have the same due date!!!! :D My nausea is only just going too - three days to go until the 2nd trimester wahoo!

Penguin - I think I am at the same stage as you now where I am feeling sick/dizzy when hungry (although sometimes after food too - can't keep up!) Hope you have recovered from your work do - I didn't go to mind. £40 for a dinner which I would probably be sick after - nahhh! I didn't like the veggie choice either in fairness.

April - a BOY that's so exciting! I can't wait to find out what combo our twins are :) I think it's boys, my husband thinks boy/girl!

Vanilla - hope your headaches ease up... I only tend to get those when I need water.

  • Oh sweetbabu that is so adorable that your daughter thought the baby was kicking!!!

Bless her little heart, she got so excited that I didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise :o

I cannot wait to feel the little fluttering's again; its so cute :j

Ooh April, how exciting! :D I love what little characters they are even at this stage though! I think my OH is leaning towards finding out what were having now (though I don't know if our hospital let's you know!). At first, he kept saying girl, but now he thinks boy!

I had my feeling sick when I wasn't eating for the first twelve weeks. Thankfully that has stopped now and my appetite is back to normal - and not before time!! I have put on about a stone already :(
  • How far along are you sweet? I am just this weekend (13+4) back to my pre-pregnancy weight - I lost 4lb with the sickness - so I guess it will be piling on from now on! I think I'm back to a similar calorie intake on an average day as pre-pregnancy but I am feeling full a little quicker than before so don't think I will want to overindulge at Christmas.

Going to go maternity clothes shopping (and start looking for baby - early I know but staying open minded in case we find a bargain) in the January sales and I can't wait! I only have two pairs of jeans that fit me now and they were both a bit too big before so I don't think it will be long before comfort trumps style!

Just told my Gran today she was to become a great grandmother (drove 2 hours each way to tell her in person) and her reaction was absolutely priceless. Such a precious day!

We are so behind with Christmas arrangements including most presents as I was feeling so dreadful in November when I would usually be planning. So last minute all the way this year! Will probably be shopping in lunchtimes this week at work but annoyingly the town where I work currently is a bit rubbish compared to our local town. People might not do as well from us this year!! Couldn't be more excited for some time off after Xmas... so much to catch up with at home!

Hope you've all had a good weekend x

  • I'm only 15 weeks tomorrow.

My body puts on weight SO easily though, and I had been dieting before falling pregnant so im guessing this won't have helped. Another thing that didn't help was that I had to stop walking my daughter to school (about a miles walk each way) as I as becoming so breathless walking upstairs - and even just sitting on the sofa sometimes!

I'm back to my normal habits now - we had lunch around 1-2 and I'm not in the slightest bit hungry, so ok hoping this weight gain will start to even out now! So hopefully will be able to resume my walking. We are staying with my parents over Christmas and they live in the country so there are lots of beautiful walks there.
  • In fact,I have just weighed myself for the first time since 12 weeks (was a bit scared :o) and am 2lbs down :j, but still, 12lbs... :o
