Ah penguin that's so exciting, I can't wait to start feeling that. Both my midwife today and a doctor I had to see last week, asked if I had felt anything yet and both said at first it feels like a wee flutter. So fingers crossed
Has anyone else booked in for the whooping cough and flu vaccinations yet? My midwife mentioned mines today and I've been booked in for Monday. Definitely gonna go ahead with both.
Penguin I find myself either sleeping solidly or waking up for a good few hours throughout the night. No rhyme or reason to it. I then usually fall back asleep around 5, about 50 minutes before my alarm goes off and felt like I've not slept at all. Work is always fun on those days :rotfl:0 -
Yep that's me- sleep is either amazing or rubbish! But awake for a while, rather than frequent waking like I would pre pregnancy. And I definitely feel your pain with the alarm clock... This morning was brutal but let's hope tonight is better!0

Hello everyone,
Had my 12-week scan today (at 12+6) so moving up a thread! Starting to feel real now we've seen our little bub!
Hope everyone is doing well - sounds like the second trimester is a lot more fun than the first (my sickness was fairly horrid) so looking forward to the months ahead!Cleared my credit card debt of £7123.58 in a year using YNAB! Debt free date 04/12/2015.
Enjoying sending hundreds of pounds a month to savings rather than debt repayment!0 -
Hi to all the new joiners!
Had my 16 wk appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat, was great!
Still not over this morning sickness and seem to be retching with water or acid again. Found out I'm Rhesus negative so have to have an injection at 28 weeks. I'm a lot less impatient for the scan now after hearing the heartbeat.
We went looking at prams after and was told lots of new models tend to come out in March/April time. Also the advice was not to buy the pram too soon as the warranty will start as soon as it's purchased.
Loved the bugaboo chameleon - easy to pick up the frame when collapsed down.0 -
For those struggling to sleep, have you used or considered a maternity pillow? Got one for the wife and she sleeps so much better.0
-
Snow, definitely. Most of my symptoms are gone, I can eat normally again, well most foods. So it definitely gets better. Just stuck with the waking up randomly.
Andrew I did look at a pillow, but its not really a comfort thing for me. Its more waking up for the toilet or just randomly.
Vanilla, ah I didn't get to hear the heart beat at mine, although saying that she did say I would hear it at my next, and I also have my gender scan this week. I've looked briefly at prams but like you don't want to get one too early. I was thinking probably in the spring, there are quite a few I like the look of though.0 -
Yeah I'm not sure mine is a discomfort thing- just always needing the loo as well! Or just randomly waking. And sometimes a bit of stress thrown into the mix. Fun.0

Another random wake up in the night here too. Really struggle to get back to sleep, normally by the time I do the alarm goes for work!0
-
Well I may as well jump in here now too! I am 14+4
I didn't know that they no longer gave the gender at 20-week scans. Ours is due the end of January. And, as I am 16 weeks on Boxing Day, we have the 16 week appointment just into the New Year.
My daughter is so emotional right now though! She cuddled into me and I moved to get comfy and she thought it was the baby kicking and she got SO excited and starting calling for my OH to come and feel. I felt awful when I had to explain that it wasn't actually the baby she'd felt0 -
