Sweet in our gender scan the woman did a few minutes of the 3D/4D scanning and it was pretty awesome. You can see loads. We got a picture and it was so clear and the level of detail is amazing. You can see the eyes, the nose and the hands so clearly 😍 I have been thinking about booking one to see again as there are some cracking deals up here for them. Before I saw them I was with Andrew and thought they were weird looking and slightly off putting but since seeing it myself, my opinion has totally changed.

Cats I've seen some amazing bargains including 5 packs of nappies from Boots for £20. Now I did not think I would be buying anything till later but at that price I just couldn't help it. :rotfl:

I'm not bothered about a 4d scan, always remember someone saying they'd had one and thought their baby looked really odd, and it then made them really anxious. Of course the baby was born and looked beautiful like all babies. Also I figure that I'm going to see it enough in 4d next year! But I do know others who've had them and really loved them.

I know someone who has been for a 4D and couldn't recommend it enough but I personally don't want one, they scare me a little, which I know is so silly haha!!

  • How often are you guys feeling the baby and when? I find it so weird the baby seemingly has on time wake and sleeping cycles. My wife is coming up to 23 weeks and have been feeling the first movemsnts for a few weeks now.

It's around 18:30 everyday for about 10 minutes or so. Some days though he's quite quiet and we don't really feel anything. Peanut butter ice cream tends to wake him up though

I'm too early for movement yet but can't wait to start feeling!!

I would recommend you having a look at Kicks Count as they have lots of useful information on there for both Mums & Dads and I don't want to tell you something incorrectly:) http://www.kickscount.org.uk

  • I've been feeling movement for about 2.5 weeks (I'm 19 weeks today). It is increasing every day and I'm noticing it more spontaneously. The best time for feeling it is after tea- I don't know whether a full stomach helps? We've had a few times when OH has been able to feel little ripples too. Also seems pretty active at about 3am! Actually I think we might just have a fidgeter (like its daddy) as it's wriggling at the moment too.
  • newthrift the lady who did my hair and makeup for my wedding started that charity!

I can't wait to start feeling movements but I guess at 14.5 weeks I've got a few weeks to go yet! I'm definitely getting bigger though - maternity clothes shopping next week in the sales is going to be happening. Very exciting!

Currently in the car on the way down to the in laws and won't be back at home for 4 days so all a crazy rush this morning... hope everyone has a lovely Christmas!

Haven't felt anything yet , but as the others said I can't wait.

Penguin when you first started feeling movements what did they feel like? I'm 2 weeks behind you so hoping to start feeling something soon. The MW and dr I've seen have both asked if I've felt movements and that it should feel like butterflies to start with. I know some first time mums don't feel things until at least 20-23 weeks so I've been told. I'm hoping not too have to wait too much longer.

Snow have a good xmas at the inlaws, and the sa,e to everyone else :)

April- they really surprised me at first as I initially felt them quite high- around your diaphragm. A colleague of mine explained its because inside you are feeling fluid moving, so it's not where you expect baby to be. It sort of feels a bit like anxiety, sort of fluttering or ripples, it's very gentle and initially I only felt it when I was very relaxed and still in bed (and sometimes when I tried to 'tune in' I would just fall asleep!). It was like that for about a week, but now I feel it at least half a dozen times a day and much lower and I can work out which side baby is on. It's pretty amazing. I'm sure you will feel something anyday!

Aww snow really?! I think the work they do is fantastic. I follow the group on Facebook also and I love what they post.

Hope everyone has enjoyed there last Christmas before little ones arrivals in the new year.
We did buy a bottle set in the sales as it was such a good deal seemed a shame to miss is have also seen the pram we want online for half off :money: It has been used but like new so may be purchasing as £400 is an amazing saving, will then store it at my mums or grans until near to due date.
Has anyone brought anything in the sales? It's a hard tie between feeling it's a little early and not wanting to miss out on some good savings.
