I had my first scan yday and confirmed I am 13 weeks. made it so real after seeing the lil bug in my belly. EDD: 31st jan. Eeeek!

Any advice, info, tips anything that any one is willing to share will be greatly appreciated. my mom took the news pretty well too (esp as im over 37 and this is my first) I've just got to inform my employer next but I am currently waiting to hear abt a promotion so bit of a dilemma whether to tell them or wait until I hear the news in the next couple of weeks.

Congratulations! You don't need to tell work until 25 weeks, so unless you feel you need a risk assessment done now I would personally wait to hear about the promotion if it's just a couple of weeks.

Hi all. I was signposted to this thread from the main pregnancy thread.

I'm 13+3 now with second child. Just with a 19 year gap inbetween them ;-)

Hi everyone! It really is very quiet in here.

10 days until our 20 week scan. I'm really nervous about it but trying to put it to the back of my mind.

We ordered our pram last week. We had no intention of buying it yet, but my FIL came down to stay with us for a few days and wanted to buy his first grandchilds pram. He doesn't get down here very often so we ended up going pram shopping. We've ordered the Cybex Priam. Hadn't even heard of Cybex before we went shopping, but it's a beautiful pram, and we really like that the car seat can lie flat when in the pram frame.

    Hope everyone is doing well!

I know what you mean Tinks, the nerves are jangling already but also excited as if all goes well we might find out what we are having... we've seen a travel system we like and some nursery furniture so will probably look to make a purchase next month... yikes!

That's so lovely about the pram, what an exciting moment for you all x

I really love the Cosatto Giggle 2 as I'm a lover of quirky patterns, there's some great bundles around inc. car seats and was recommended a website/store in Manchester called Lesters who do some great deals so going to check them out.

Our nursery is just going to be the box room for now as want to do the bigger spare room up as a proper bedroom when we have a toddler so space is tight - I like the look of the Silver Cross Soho range of furniture though as it seems quite compact and space saving x

    Hi all

It has been really quiet here recently! I must make more of an effort to post but absolutely nothing is happening just now and I don't want to bore everyone!!

Manc - our 20 week scan is the same day as yours. Time seems to be dragging in and it's taking forever!! The soho furniture is gorgeous, I love the silver cross furniture and really want the Notting Hill set but hubby says it's too expensive as we're having to spend a fortune flooring the loft. Boo!!

Tinks - the Cybex Priam is a lovely pram and was on our shortlist!

So, we have a wedding and an engagement party next week. I can't fit in any of my dressy dresses so I'm having to buy something new. I spent the full day shopping on saturday and can't find a single thing! I think I want a maxi as I hate my legs but all the ones I can find that fit my expanding bump are either too dressy (more for an evening do) or are like casual holiday dresses. Ideally I'd like something I could wear to the wedding and the party (different groups of friends) but I'm struggling! Anyone seen anything nice??

Hi ladies. After our 12 week scan yesterday I'm popping in to say hello.

I'm 12+4 today. After losing my daughter Poppy as a result of an incompatible with life diagnosis at our 12 week scan in November, this pregnancy has been a very stressful experience so far. I'm hoping that I can start to relax a bit now that scan has been positive.

My sickness seems to be getting worse though lately. I actually had to get up in the night last night which I've never experienced before. I'm hoping it will ease off soon so I can start to enjoy the pregnancy more.

There are a few names I recognise from the ttc thread and it's nice to see you're all doing well.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
