Thank you ladies. My daughter is only 2 so no waiting outside on her own. I've talked to OH about him taking her out at the first sign of bad news but hopefully there's a limit on how bad the news can be when I'm sat here feeling movement.
I'm 20 weeks today and look massive at times although people still don't spot that I'm pregnant straight away. I think most don't look at your belly area and even then you have to be side on for it to be really noticeable. I'm bigger than last time though which is normal.
Mancmama I did an NCT class last time and it was on of the best things I did. It's not cheap when there's no guarantee of making good friends, however we made the effort to arrange some meet - ups not long after the class, as well as a create a Facebook group to communicate on (many use WhatsApp now). A few months into the maternity leave we were meeting as a big group weekly and different combos of us would go to activities and classes together during the week. It was invaluable having people go through the exact same thing as you at the exact same time, as even a few months age difference in babies means you're at different stages and can't remember exactly what you did when. The class itself is informative about labour, and is particularly useful in getting your partners knowledgeable too which was important to me so that I could trust him to make decisions and know my wishes if I was too exhausted or in pain.
Even without going to a class I recommend finding a local nct bumps and babies group, or buggy walk, for meeting other friendly local mums. Not everyone that goes to classes is looking to make a new friend but at nct things they often are. So be brave and suggest a coffee or a play date with someone you like.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Kynthia, I am sure you will be fine and they will know not to say anything too much in front of your daughter anyway. Stay positive xBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Kynthia thank you for the brill advice, think I will go ahead and book, if nothing else I will be able to put a name to the faces I will no doubt see pushing buggies around my town next year!

All went well. It's a long scan as they check so many things; it's amazing what they can do nowadays. They think it's a girl, so I'll be a mum of two girls and my daughter will have a sister.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

I'm 22 weeks exactly today!
Just moved back home after staying at my mums for the last almost 2 weeks while we had the bathroom done - only take a week my eye and it's still not bloody finished!! Spent all of yesterday evening dusting and hoovering everywhere and today was making a start on the epic laundry mountain time! Fun and games around here this weekend :rotfl:
So glad to be back at home now though - I only work up the road from where I live and the 90 minute commute each way from my mums was getting to be a bit much especially with working early shifts the past week - knackered doesn't even begin to cover it
Feeling little wiggles and flutters quite often now - had my midwife appointment the other day and everything is looking good - forgot to ask about my Mat B1 form though so hopefully it's not too awkward to chase that up next week0
