12-24 weeks pregnant (part 4)

OH has had spotting regularly over the last few days. 2-3 times a day she's finding pink when wiping.
It's only a very small amount, a single small spot each time. Trying to convince her that there's nothing to worry about and that it's common. Obviously if it got heavier then we'd see someone but in the meantime will just keep an eye on it and try not to worry. She had that spotting before at 10 weeks and had the early scan, there was more then and everything was fine. Think it's causing worry as its ongoing rather than a one off.
Baby seems fine, kicking regularly.
Especially when she uses the handdryer at work. She said today she was using it even though her hands were dry just to get the reaction from him
He did it with the hairdryer too. Few moments ago I had my hand on bump and I felt a few kicks, they are really strong now.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

freddie.. it could be cervical erosion.. just minor harmless red bleeding from the cervix.. it is very very common, however she could also have a mild infection causing irritation.. she is clearly concerned.. take her to get it checked, a bit of reassurance is not too much to ask. Don't let her suffer the worry.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hope everything is ok Freddie.
Just to update on my pram saga... We've ordered a pram!! Went for the britax affinity with carry cot, car seat, isofix base and a blue colour pack. Had a play with it in store today and really liked it so that's been ordered!!0 -
Cool, bet it's good to have taken the plunge and got one bought.
OH is well, hasn't had any spotting today. Baby is still giving lots of reassuring kicks.
I've just put the first coat of paint on the skirting board and architrave in nursery. Looks great, it had all gone different colours. Unfortunately it's also highlighted just how yellow the door is! So I may have to paint the inside of the door too now.
After this has had second coat tomorrow and dried I'll be ready to paint the walls their final colour/s, put carpet back down and then we'll have the room back! Yay
The builders were meant to have finished by now with the garage conversion but there were delays (as there always are) so they won't be until the end of this coming week.
It's a pain as we wanted to be using that week (half term) to get flooring sorted, room decorated, put the new worktop and kitchen units in etc. Will just have to delay it.
Main thing would be just getting the house back into order and actually having our kitchen back!
It's looking good though, they just need to plaster and put the sockets and skirting board on. It's going to make such a big difference having that extra space.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

We're without a kitchen at the moment too Freddie.
We've both got the week off to do some work on it. It's currently a completely bare room. Hoping to have the ceiling and walls done and the floor tiled by next Sunday. Fingers crossed!
DH is having to do most of the stuff. I am helping where I can with lots of breaks. Doesn't help that I have swollen sinuses and a headache today
We're hoping to go look at pushchairs on Tuesday when we go out to look for shelves and stuff too.
We'll have Wednesday off from DIY as DH has the dentist and I have a midwife appointment. Am sure we'll both need a break by then!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend!0 -
The Uberchild pram that we were looking at is now Out of Stock...just at the point where the rooms nearly ready and we would have started buying stuff.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Oh no Freddie, that is so typical. Fingers crossed it will be back in stock shortly.0

They've got them reduced to £239 from £399 and the price is the reason I looked at them in the first place. So don't think they'll be restocking at the sale price. They still have some in stock they're just not the particular colour we liked.

Still seem very good value though.
I've emailed them to find out if it'll be coming back into stock at some point. If not I'm going to order one of the others. Unfortunately I was going to get the optional air tyres as well, but they are also out of stock until mid July. I'd then have to pay additional shipping costs. Oh well, gives me a chance to have a good look at the pram first and maybe decide I don't need the air tyres.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

They said they'll gave more in August so I'll wait to order then.
Started painting the nursery, looks so good with the freshly painted skirting and door.
We had a disagreement over colour. I'd seen some nice pictures of nurseries painted deep blue with white furniture. However she thought that since a lot if the curtains and bedding that she'd liked were blue it would be too much blue.
We were going to get some wall paper for a feature wall but couldn't find any we liked that didn't look cheap.
In the end she decided that she wanted a light yellow colour, which does look nice and bright on the walls. Compromise was that I get a blue feature wall. Hopefully it won't look too much like IKEA :rotfl:
We'll get some wall stickers too and/or have some white framed pictures on the blue wall.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Heard the baby's heartbeat this morning
Sadly DH couldn't come as his boss is funny about him having time off.
I now have to have monthly blood tests to check my thyroid level but having trouble actually getting a blood test as I don't have any forms... frustrating! Also been trying to ring the hospital to book a tour of the unit but can't get through. All very frustrating! I have however booked my GTT (yay....) and I've found a baby barn type place near my work that has lots of different prams etc so going to drag DH there at the weekend.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
