Bump is definitely growing! I'm going to need to look for some more maternity clothes soon. I've got a couple of pairs of jeans so far but I've feeling less comfy in some of my others clothes now.
How is everyone doing?
That's funny. Today OH has a particularly big beautiful bump. It's the sort of size this morning that it had been in the evening previously. It's showing really clearly in her normal dress.
We went and bought maternity clothes a while ago but she hasn't worn much of it yet. She's worn the maternity trousers and leggings quite a lot because they're so comfy. Plus they fit under normal clothes. Her mat jeans are too big at the moment on the waist. They just fall down!
She's got a shirt, some t-shirts, a couple of tops and a few dresses. Got them from H&M and New Look. Nearest ones with maternity clothes in stock were Sheffield at Meadowhall shopping centre.
She bought maternity clothes in her normal clothes size. They fit well with plenty of room.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I can't find anywhere local that stocks the pushchair I'm really keen on which is annoying, I saw someone with one today, oh said I should have asked the lady how she finds it, but I thought she may think I'm a bit odd!!0 -

Is it still the Ickle Bubba Stomp?
If you've narrowed it down you could always get it from somewhere like Argos where you can return it easily if you decide it's not what you want.
Did you manage to find a Joie Chrome?
I'm leaning towards the Uberchild one at the moment.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Huge thanks to all those discussing pushchairs, you're really helping me come up with a shortlist!Sealed Pot Challenge #9550

Oh thank you pigpen. I'm Looking at at ickle bubba stomp v3. I've seen it online but I'm now wondering if it's only available online. I'm in the south in Hampshire but would be willing to look further a field, but the only place I can see online that also has a store is kiddiecare and their Peterborough store is a bit too far. I'm also not sure what colour to get, I like the silver but think it may get grubby as its light so that leaves black or blue.
Oh looked horrified at my suggestion that I could put the pushchair together myself and said no, he would do it!! (Ok so I'm not the best at putting things together in general but I can put pushchairs together!!) I did point out I had built quite a few pushchairs in my time at mothercare and not one came back as being together wrong but he still wasn't convinced!!
I had a very quick look at the chrome, but the really good deal in mothercare is only on purple or red and without the deal to include everything I want I prefer the stomp. I suppose I should get the isofix installed in my car some point soon too as I'm looking at getting the stomp with isofix base.0 -

They are easy to put together, usually it is just a case of popping wheels and bumper bar on though.. you can't really go wrong!
Kiddicare are great and do free delivery.. have you checked PreciousLittleOne??? I've had our car seat and other bits from them and they are wonderful.. they seem to be a fraction cheaper than other places too. Though tesco and Amazon seem to be cheapest at the moment.. it looks like it folds nicely though.. I hate these ones you have to take the seat unit off to fold them.. my daughter has an icandy and it is such a faff.. you can't get on a bus with it as you have a baby, a bag, 2 bits of pushchair and any other bits or toddlers you are dragging along.. impossible to do by yourself!
I'd go red or black.. greys show up every single mark and greasy spot.. and I don't like blue or green.. purple would be third choice. Our pushchair is from Oxford Pram Centre .. but I have looked at one locally and played but they reduced theirs and M&P didn't! I like the black chassis's too.. rather than chrome/aluminium .. but apparently that makes me a minority according to most shops.. I don't feel the need to polish the mud off the black as much as shiny things.
The isofix points do make the seats safer .. and easier to install.. we did use the seatbelt as well as the isofix though.. extra line of defence and all that.. but we used the infant seat maybe 3 or 4 times. Which reminds me I need to find the newborn insert bits for both seats.
Isla.. how long is your 'shortlist'??? haha...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Getting longer every time I stick my head in here! :rotfl:
The ickle bubba stomp was a curve ball as hadn't seen it before. I'm basically going in circles with it all.Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
I really like the black chassis too, I prefer it to the silver chassis.
Gosh that must be such a faff to take the seat unit off every time. I never get the bus but still wouldn't want to be faffing about in the car park each time!!
I saw the stomp on kiddiecare but just flicked by it, then was scrolling through a list of top ten pyshchairs and it was on there so I then started to look at it properly and the more I look at it the more I like it, and it just seems to be a good price for everything you get, but doesn't look cheap or flimsy.
I need to see what delivery timescales are on sites like Tesco. I do need to stop getting distracted and looking at pushchairs this week though and revise for a very important exam!!!
