I've just been reading about the changes in law on booster seats and that little ones need to be rear facing until 15 months old, at least.
Most of the travel system ones seem to be for about the first 6 months that we've seem so another rear facing is needed after then for around a year after that, at least. Good to know, the list grows!
15 months is still not enough though.. it is 2.5 even in America, up to 4 years on the continent and up to 25Kg/55lb in Sweden.. I just think our little people to precious to take risks! My 4.5 y/o is still rear facing.

We had a car seat which we brought in and out of the car and it was fine. It would also fit on our travel system but we rarely used it as such because I preferred the carrycot. We could also have kept our daughter in it until 15 months, and as long as this one is not a giant then we should be fine with the new regulations0

I had a look in Aldi today and got some muslin squares. They still had a lot of stuff left, especially girly things.0

Both had rubbish days yesterday.
She is a teacher and she's finding it increasingly difficult as her pregnancy is progressing. The late night workload. Being on her feet all day. Not being able to have loo breaks.
It doesn't help that she's got quite a demanding class of 10 year olds. Including one child who is regularly screaming, refusing to follow instructions, trying to distract others, throwing things. They've also just recently started pushing furniture around aggressively.
Which is obviously a big worry for OH. The child isn't doing it directed at anyone, but an accident could easily happen.
Top that off with a useless unsupportive leadership team that don't have a clue what they're doing.
It's a recipe for stress and upset that she could really be without.
Counting down the days til summer. The good bit about it is that she'll have the summer holiday when she's around 30 weeks. Then she'll take maternity leave 4 weeks before due date (so just at the end of the holiday)
Meaning she can take pretty much a whole year off, away from that hell hole. She's going to serve the minimum amount of time that she has to afterwards to get her full maternity benefit and then leave.
She's been there for 3-4 years now and it's just been grinding her down the whole time.
We cheered up a bit when we saw her bump in the mirror though. Looking particularly bumpy.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

This is how my 9yr old DsS was behaving last year at school, got excluded three times and ended up part time at another school missing most of year 4, after having ADHD queried he's since been diagnosed with frontal lobe Epilepsy, EEG showed it up, he's now on correct meds and is back in class without problems.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Anyone else got total baby brain going on? I'm forgetting names and words. Only ever managed to lose the bread and find it in the fridge after looking for ages once.
But just got in from the supermarket. Only nipped down for four things; pizza, trifle, grapes, waffles. I was saying them over and over.
Of course, came out with three huge bags of shopping and a johnson's baby carry case of lotions and potions to add to the pile. And none of the four things I wanted. Not going back out. Shattered, and bump is giving me a tough time today. So think I'll collapse for half an hour before I try to do anything useful.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Sorry to hear that Freddie. Have they done a pregnancy risk assessment yet for your OH? Lack of support might mean it would not be as helpful as it should be but it should address the lack of toilet breaks, violent children etc. Good news that OH will get a while off though with summer hols too, baby Freddie timed himself well!
I'm really noticing having a bump now!.I'm trying to make sure I look after my skin best I can to prevent/lessen stretch marks. I'll probably end up with them anyway but can't say I didn't try. I've been keeping up my weekly swim, and have been enjoying it more lately actually. Hopefully I'll still be paddling away when I'm like a whale!0
