Hope they have completed a pregnancy risk assessment with your wife Freddie. That is a well timed baby, ive heard a lot teachers time their babies for September time so they can return a week or so before the summer holidays!!

Really want Friday to be be over and done with, I have a busy day tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to, but it does mean I wont have time to think too much!!!

They did but the risk assssment was very generic and didn't say anything about ensuring toilet breaks or avoiding violent children or anything.

But she spoke with her Key Stage coordinator today who is one of the few competent people in the school. She's been taken off playground duties and been offered some extra support. So she came back home much happier today.

My Dad and I started bringing the plasterboard upstairs to attach to the walls. Got one and a half walls done this afternoon. Exhausted though, these acoustic boards are really dense and weigh a ton. Really awkward getting them up and over the bannisters.

We've got a date for the garage conversion work to start as well.

Same day as 20 week scan.

  • Went into boots for something else and they had cuddledry towels for £9.60 instead of £30! Had a quick look and they have good reviews so picked a couple up. It clips around your neck so it's super easy to pick baby up and wrap them up... Figured if we don't use them I can gift them to someone :)

Yes they seemed to have lots of offers on, I I tried not to look as we have a while to get everything yet :) I have been given 3 large bags of things plus a baby bath which was full of things by my friend this evening... She also mentioned there would be more by the time our baby arrives as her youngest will have grown out of more bits! I gave her some money for her kids pots as there really was a lot of stuff! Going to have a proper look through and free cycle anything we don't need or want. She also pointed out the baby bumpers she gave us were ones designed for baby to still breathe through if they rolled face first into it... I would never have even thought of that!

  • Hello everyone,

I wanted to join in if that's ok? I'm 13+1 with my first baby. Have been off work since almost 9 weeks with hyperemesis and still struggling although not as much. Had my dating scan this week which was reassuring. Hoping to get back to work within the next few weeks as I'm going mad.

Hoping to learn from you all and share experiences! :)

OH thought she might have been able to feel baby yesterday. While laying in bed at the end of the day. Said she could feel something that felt a bit like there was a 'mini washing machine in her tummy'. I suspect that's similar to this 'fluttering' description.

At the moment, as she's never felt it before, she has no clue whether she's just feeling wind!

But the fact that she noticed it as being a funny sensation makes me think it could well be the baby, 17+4
