Freddie - we have gone for the Uberchild Evo, £239 all in, though we also bought the air tyres. Not used it yet but put it all together and really happy with it. The only thing is it doesn't have a car seat base option, but you can get the 2 in 1 travel set instead which can be converted for a car seat base (I don't know much about this!). We are happy not to have a base though, just strap in securely.

Thanks Flutterby, had you looked at any other types in shops? How does yours compare to them?

It looks good online and keenly priced. The reviews on trustpilot are very good.

Have you got a kiddicare near you as they have a great selection of pushchairs and travel systems to test, the one in Peterborough has an entire floor dedicated to them? We went with a Joie first time around and we've no complaints at all with it, they're in mothercare if you want to see them prepurchase, but I think you can also get them in argos.

Yep we went to Mothercare and looked at the selection. Looks wise I want a Cosatto but they were too much for us. we settled on the Mothercare Roam but them I saw someone post on Baby centre about the Uberchild and fell in love with it. They do 30 day money back so u can order and try out at home and return for refund if not happy with it.

I think it does everything you want in a travel system but then again I'm a FTM so may be missing something!

At the moment I'm drawn to the ikkle bubba stomp v3 with isofix base, but I'm not sure where stocks it, so I'm also looking at the roam and the mamas and papas sola, so varying in price so I want to see them and have a play to see if the more expensive one is worth it, or whether to settle in the middle with the stomp.

I'm adding the joie chrome to my list too. Just looking on mothercare and they have a good deal on at the moment so hope I can find somewhere that stocks that one too.

Ours was a joie chrome, and we really liked it especially for the price tag
  • My husband is in London for the day. He's killing time til he needs to be somewhere later so has been into John Lewis playing with car seats and bases. He's found a few possibles and bringing the catalogue home so we can have a look at them online.

Think we finally decided on a pram system. It's one I always liked and he's seen it and likes it now too. It folds small so will fit in either car. So we think we are getting the bugaboo bee.
The guy in the shop said bugaboo tend to keep their price well too if we want to sell it on afterwards.

They had a joie chrome in Babies R Us/Toys R Us when we were at one on Sunday.
