Moist is a far more revolting word.. utterly rude!

Discharge makes me think of guns and escapes from hospitals.

Congrats on the scans ladies! Excellent news.

Tonight DH felt baby kick for the first time. It was amazing! I have an anterior placenta so thought it would be a wee while yet before he'd feel anything! Eek.

I have my 22 week appointment with the midwife next week. I take it it's just blood pressure, urine test etc?
  • Lovely to hear all the scans going well :)
  • Congrats on the scans ladies, and Toots how lovely! I can't wait to feel the baby move.

I still have a headache :( had it since Tuesday afternoon, I'm guessing it's a bit like a migraine as the light has affected me and I've been sick twice. Had a brief respite from it yesterday morning but it came back even worse. Seems to be mild at moment but expecting it to be worse later. I've not taken anything for it, just used 4Head and drinking lots of water.

I'm going to try to get out for a bit later, OH is away tonight so I'm on my tod all day so would be good to get out. Trying to get my Bounty pack but so far two places are out of stock.

Meant to be going on a hen do tomorrow, just going to the afternoon tea bit, not the boozy bit! It's an hour away and I was going to get the train there. Will decide in the morning whether I will go though.

  • Me again. I ventured out and thought I'd chance Aldi to see if they still had the baby stuff in (special buys fly out here) and to my surprise they did! I bought the Moses basket, the nappy bin and cartridges, a baby fleece and the v shaped pillow. My first baby items :)

I also picked up my Mum to be Bounty pack, bit disappointed in the contents, just a small tub of Sudocream and sample of Lenor, plus a load of leaflets. There may be some money off vouchers in them I guess.

Flutterby the Emma's diary ones are slightly better than the bounty but they're both bad compared to what was in them only two years ago.

Thanks LemonTree, I had had the first Emma's Diary pack and that is way better! Looking forward to the rest of them.

  • My friend is selling a playmat and car seat (which she only used for a week) so I've decided to grab them! She's a good friend so know car seat is brand new and never been in an accident - she only swapped cos it wasn't compatible with her buggy!

Delighted to get one or two bits, mum says she's been squirreling things away as well so I'm hoping to have a good few bits now :)

Been having pretty bad ligament pain in my pelvic area.. Really felt like I was being kicking in the lady bits last night! Least it's better today

Definitely sounds like a migraine flutter. If it doesn't pass, speak to midwife as they may want to check your blood pressure. Hopefully you're feeling much better now and can enjoy the afternoon tea.

We've come up to my folks this weekend, and we're heading out to the shops later :)

Have a good day all xx

  • Thanks euronorris. Feeling a thousand times better today :) had a lovely time at afternoon tea. As it happens my friend's mum is a midwife and she said the same to get BP checked. I have a hospital appointment Monday morning for something non baby related and they will check my BP there so if it is high I will call midwife.

I also had a wander round some baby shops, fallen in love with the Chicco next to me crib. Anyone else? Just need to know if the zippy up bit zips up when it is attached to the bed.

On train home now, should be home in 20mins and planning a nap before going to cinema tonight!
