Sorry to hear that flutterby.
Data entry is very boring. Is there nothing else that needs doing admin wise? A project maybe? Or something you could suggest to improve things/efficiency in a certain area? It would be more interesting then at least.
I wouldn't recommend going on sick. Then you'll just be bored at home, without any interaction with your colleagues as you wouldn't even see them at lunchtime then.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
euronorris - no, no projects and the prison environment isn't really bothered by efficiency! I have implemented a few things since being here but there isn't much else I can think of. I guess I'll get used to it eventually, I just miss how busy I used to be!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Flutterby, I hope it gets better soon.
I left my job before Christmas, it's not a very good environment to be pregnant in so I'm trying to get use to the idea of not being busy all the time. I've quite a few things lined up and our finances are pretty good, so I'm very lucky.
Got my first baby related thing today, one of my friends gave me a baby mobileAlso a huge stack of baby magazines as well which will be lovely to read over and get ideas from.
Starting a new baby blanket next week, I'm on the lookout for the right wool to get..094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

flutter.. could you get away with sat knitting or something?? You could always try your hand at hacking?? See if you can get in NASA
tata.. I hand dye yarn.. in my 'spare time' haha.. I have loads of undyed merino DK ready and waiting I'm knitting a couple of orders up at the moment so fairly busy.. I do an hour or so during the day then 4-6 hours every night once the beasties are in bed! .. it's a fair working week!
I'm not buying a thing for mine other than nappies because I have none.. I did get a few sleepsuits in the next sale at Christmas.. all girly ones.. I think after 3 girls we are not likely to get a boy so didn't even look at boy stuff... Hi Girls,
Hope everyone is doing well. We have just come back from our 20 week scan and saw our little baby BOY bouncing away, he couldn't stop wriggling. Hubby smiling non stop, he kept saying he wanted a boy (although I know he would have been equally happy if it had been a girl).
Good luck to those whose scans are coming up xxMarried 1st October 2015:heartpuls

. I've been moved on h&s grounds from my normal job of teaching in a prison, to doing admin. I am in an office by myself most of the week and all I do is data entry. It's making me feel very isolated and down. I see my old colleagues at lunch but I'm missing the daily contact and whirlwind from my students. Every day was different and kept you on your toes, and now every day is the same boring jobs. I'm only 14 weeks (been here 4 weeks) so have ages to go yet. Contemplating going on sick...
I know how you feel, I am a Police Officer so am not on the front line anymore... it's so boring but I understand why I can't do it any longer. The only good thing is that I am still on shift so still get to my colleagues most days.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Thanks very much Pigpen, I'll have a look! I need to decide what colours first :rotfl: I'm thinking primary colours as that way I'll be able to use it for numerous children
Unfortunately, it's our first so we have nada. We live abroad as well so can't even badger people for hand me downs. I'm heading home for 2 weeks in March though to Ireland where I'm going to go through my nieces wardrobe for anything too small for her and gender neutral! I'll have to buy majority of vests, sleepsuits etc when I'm back as well as its cheaper :cool:094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Well looks like I jinxed myself yesterday, I've had the most horrendous headache since about 3pm yesterday so not gone to work today. Didn't sleep much so going to try and lie down most of the day.
Skintbuthappy - glad I'm not the only one in this boat. I totally understand and am grateful my boss cares but just wish my new role was more exciting!
Pigpen - nope can't get away with anything crafty. I can spend hours surfing the net but even that is boring after a while!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
