You really didn't know how to do that Iceweasel?
Or are you just humouring me?0 -

I'm certainly not trying to humour you or sound patronising at all, Bob.
You really are getting to grips with the thing.
I'm not familiar with your 55LMT model.
My older 750T does things differently.
If I want to find a Restaurant or Fuel Station for example - I select POI (Points of Interest) and then I can select from:
Where I am now.
A different city.
My current route.
My destination.
Not the same procedure as on yours - but I'll get the same results/choice.0 -
I think it's a bit different on the 55.
While travelling, I touch the 3 bar square on the bottom right of the map, and touch "Up Ahead".
A vertical grey bar appears on the right of the map, with icons for fuel, toilets, food etc.
If I touch one of them, it shows a list (by distance), along my existing route, to the various places that provide the required service.
If I touch one of them, it offers the regular Routes - i - Go options.0 -
Looking to pick up a sat nav and currys have a couple of good deals on the Garmin 65Lm and the 2559LM. Any experience with either? Don't really need anything fancy. Both are western european maps but just need it to be reasonably accurate and tell me speed limits etc.0

If you don't need anything fancy, why not get the 55LM, and save yourself £20?

I've got the 55 LMT, and (although I've not had it long) I think it's brilliant.
If you have an Aldi nearby, you might be able to pick up a 55LMT, for a tenner less than the 65.
As for speed limits, mine bongs (and I don't mean it takes a drag from a drugs pipe) if I go over the limit.
Don't know if that happens with the LM, or if it only happens with the LMT.0 -

It's not available for delivery and the closest stock is the Isle of Man:)0 -
You can get it off Amazon UK, for the same price.

Alternatively, have you got an Aldi nearby?0 -

No Aldi's in Northern Ireland I'm afraid.0 -
Oh well.
Either way, I'd still suggest saving yourself £20, and getting the 55LM.
That saved £20, would get you a nice big Micro SD Card for it.0 -

Turns out one of the local Currys had the 55LM in stock on the offer price after all...
Thanks for the advice.0
