You can normally pay in cash. I think last time there were some signs talking about modifying the booths to accept modern methods of payment. We thought this was a dig at the Germans who don't really use credit cards.0

It's so easy to use a credit card though because you don't enter your PIN. It's just card in, barrier up and your off. There is often a queue for the cash lane.0

BedsideBob - are you going to be driving a truck or a bus - or a car.
If you are going by car you will not pay any tolls at all - because all the motorways from Calais to Berlin are FREE - including the E40/A16 which changes name at Ostend to become the E40/A10 as far as Ghent where you turn left on the E17/A14 to Antwerp.0 -
I'll be in a car.
Now that I think about it, when I took the coach trip, we didn't pass through any toll booths.
BTW. It's Bedsit Bob, not Bedside Bob.0 -

Another question if I may?
Do I have to program it for each step of the journey, ie. first program it to Dover, then program from Calais to the overnight hotel in Antwerp, then program to Berlin?
Or can I program it in one go, to take me to Berlin, via Dover to Calais, then to the hotel in Antwerp, and finally to the hotel in Berlin?
I know this is probably a silly question, but I have zero experience of Sat Navs.
You can also plan the route on Google maps then upload it to the satnav. Handy if you need to go to particular places which may not be on a direct route.0
