    Hi Shammyjack,

We’re aware of this problem. This is a different problem, though, to the issues on this thread.

Our IT team are looking at this as well, but I haven’t got a time scale at the moment.

I’m sorry about this I know it’s a pain when you manage your account online but for now, it’ll help, if you can provide reads over the phone or by email.

    Amy:)

So gave my meter readings over the phone....the web site is showing the gas reading...but NOT the leccy reading!!! Not inclined to ring again at MY expense !!
Why do these Companies not get their IT systems sorted out BEFORE they take on 000s of new customers:mad:

    I totally agree !

IMHO EON should post a freephone number on the website for meter readings at least !
  • Very frustrated with EON. Account was initially set up OK and then I was asked to submit opening meter readings. I could only input my electric readings as it wouldn't let me enter the gas stating I should try again in a couple of days.

2 days later I couldn't log into my account, couldn't reset my account and went around in circles on the website.

I have spent 2 nights on the telephone now trying to sort this out. (To be fair to the girl I have spoken to, Katrina, she has been pretty good but she couldn't get through to her own online team to sort my account out:mad:)

I did give my gas readings on the phone last night and have just received a text stating my gas readings need submitting as today is the last day:mad:

I am starting to wish I had stayed with EDF

Eon website is useless, I've had the enter your metering readings here link for last week but doesn't work. Rang up today and the Rep said they couldn't take my readings as I was still showing as registering for the service. The app doesn't work either.

Not a good start, I'm outside my 14 day period to cancel, but am now intending to switch again as soon as this switch is completed. I have switched plenty of times in the past and never had such ridiculous problems with getting them to take my meter readings.

Now reading the message on the web site for my eleccy account it says :-

"We won't be able to use any readings you provide as the opening reading on your account, but they will be used to ensure that your first bill is accurate."

What readings are they going to use then?????? I despair!

Got a text last night asking for leccy reading (if I hadn't already given it!) so I've rung them this a.m . The system that the CS agent was looking at, showed both the correct readings I had given on Thursday -but my personalised EON account web page is still not showing the leccy start rreading!!
He thinks it might take 2 more weeks for the online site to be fully functional -I'll await with interest! Just hope that these readings get back to OVO as they are sitting on a credit of nearly £500 !!

Original email said estimated switch date would be 4th Dec but apart from emails on 11th Nov saying my 14 days cancellation period and a setup your online account I've not heard anything from eon.

    Is this normal?

Also can't log into the website, have reset the password but it just loops so am assuming that the account isnt set up yet.

Anyone else from the eon deal still waiting for their switch to go thru

I haven't been asked to submit any readings yet, though I have had the "sorry you are leaving" letter from my current supplier.
