In Fairness to E.on I got a telephone call back today, as promised.

I have given my meter reading over the phone. It seems some of the problems with my account, are down to my current supplier not supplying all the information, they are being chased and E.on will update me on Friday.

Don't worry about it too much OP, rates are actually falling. I see in this week's Martin Money Tips email, they are promoting switching through CEC again, with the comment
five providers now offer cheaper tariffs than the cheapest avail three months ago.
CEC doesn't give realistic "savings" anyway, and they're in it to make money as is any business, so I'll be staying on my current fixed tariff until it ends next May...

Yup, realised that CEC savings were "optimistic" (to say the least!) but I calculated that I would save £70 by switching now, even with exit penalties from OVO. And the exit penalty from EON is much less than the CEC switching "bonus" so I can always move again early next year:T

I switched through Quidco/uSwitch last time. Got the cashback no problem, and they're still doing the offer.
I also see EDF are creeping up the comparison tables again with their fixed tariffs - and they have no exit penalty. Believe they've fixed their once crazy DD adjustment "system" as well.:)

I'm switching from SSE, I have been with them 20+ years, savings have always been negligible in the past, so not switched. Our house is all electric so the 2p kWh reduction offered by E.on made it a deal I couldn't refuse.

    Hi all,

There are problems entering start reads online, our IT team are looking in to it.

We haven’t got a time scale just yet, but as soon as we do I’ll let you’ll know.

You can give us the reads over the phone, really sorry about this.

    Amy:)

    Hi all,

I've got an update date for you'll.

We've sorted some of the difficulties but there's still an issue where the gas and electric are coming over at different times. Particularly if there's a gap of several days.

I know it's a pain but, for the time being, I'd phone the readings through.

When I get another update, I'll let you'll know :)

    Thanks again.

    Amy

    Hi Amy !

I have raised this problem some time ago by telephone but it still persists.

For low users although the opening reading is accepted and annual usage input when switching to Eon , when you come to enter subsequent readings using the online tool it throws them out as an unexpected low reading and you then have to phone them in .

Surely it is possible to edit the tool so it asks ( are you sure that reading is correct ?) and then accepts it the second time around . Having to phone readings in with an online account is plain stupid !

Managed to enter both readings this morning -but the website now doesn't seem to indicate that I've given them!!

EDIT - After looking further, couldn't see any evidence that my readings had "stuck" so phoned thru' on 0345 301 4905 option 1. CS agent confirmed that he couldn't see any readings either so took them over the phone. -apparently leccy is switching today and gas tomorrow, so the day's difference MAY be the problem with the web site??
