    Still to pay before Christmas

    £160 - House insurance
    £150 - Christmas presents
    Remainder of nursery fees

Is this through TCB or QCo? If it is, well done, if it's not then you could save some money there :T

    Good luck

I haven't made a substantive post since Friday. It's been a 'keeping my head above water' couple of days. I am on the big countdown until Friday when I finish work for Christmas and get paid. I'm really excited!

My VodaPhone bill came and they have not credited my account as they said they would  I am so angry and upset. I didn't have the energy to face calling then either yesterday or today, but I will try tomorrow.

eBay sales are still coming in. DH has been excellent and used up the remainder of the remainder of the 20 free listings for December. Sales will exceed £70 but I'm not sure what the final total will be as they don't end until tomorrow.

My Auntie gave me £20 for Christmas, but DH and I were too tired to cook so we spent it on a take away. :o

    Today's spends:

    £20.38 - diesel
    £5.25 - lunch

    Total = £25.63

Good day on ebay, sold the seven items that DH listed last week for over £160 before fees and postage. Hoping to clear about £130 profit.

My Mam also gave me £10 commission for the stuff that I sold for her on eBay, she tried to give me £30 but I told her that was too much, so we compromised.

I got my payslip ahead of getting paid on Friday and there was £200 more in there than I was expecting. HMRC reviewed how much tax I was paying and adjusted my code so that I'm paying less and today's pay contained a rebate! :j Very welcome just before Christmas - thank you Taxman!

    --

Not a great deal to report. Made a trip to the bank to pay in £80 cash (from ebay) Tried to return an item to the Disney Store but they were very unhelpful. I had to queue for ages and they would only give me a gift card. I think I'm going to make a complaint to their head office.

DH made another overpayment of £14.40 to the mortgage for a TCB payment that arrived in his bank.

I'll be making another one later when I know how much profit we have left after DH has paid the postage on the remainder of the eBay sales.

I've been thinking about it and I think that we should aim for a £10,000 mortgage overpayment next year. £9,000 from our regular income and £1,000 from 'extra' money we make. It's ambitious but it should be achieveable on our current income and budgets.

eBay profit came to £128:08 after fees and postage! :j

    AND

Just come home to a cheque for £23 from HMRC for overpaid tax in 13/14. :j

So extra money made in December stands at £248.82 and the total for the whole of 2014 is £1139.62. This is just £40 short of the extra money we made in 2013 and we still have a few bits to add.

Tomorrow is payday and I need to put £1000 aside for the kitchen repayment; £160 for the house insurance; and I have about £400 of other committed spending bills. I have also allocated £200 for Christmas and another £70 for food and diesel. That should leave about £130 unallocated.
