That's a lovely post to read this morning PBS and I'm so glad you have found a sense of closure with the conversation with your parents and have managed to shed that burden that was weighing you down.

Keep up the positive thoughts, it sounds like you've turned a real corner. :)

    Hi PWPS!

Long time, no see! Thanks so much for popping by! I must admit *blush* that I read your diary everyday, but I felt 'awkward' just jumping in. It sounds like you have had an awful experience with your tenants. I hope things turn a corner for you soon.

    Morning lovely MeandO,

How did you sleep last night after O's screaming episode?

Thanks for your lovely message. I still feel better. It's very strange. There have been times in my life when I have been happy, of course there have, but I don't think I have ever experienced 'natural' happiness, that is simply there without being the result of some outside factor. Now I just have to work on growing the feeling and transferring it to other parts of my life and relationships.

  • DAILY HORSE / CAMPERVAN BUYING UPDATE: Have not bought a horse or a camper van. 10/10. (However, spent 30 minutes looking at camper vans online and also had a dream about buying a stable, it was quite cheap though with 10 individuals stalls for just £8,500!)

Pay day tomorrow. I have a £1000 mortgage overpayment scheduled. £150 to go to HMRC for the Tax Credits overpayment repayment (grr) I also need to buy a return flight to Edinburgh for May, but I haven't priced that up yet. That little lot should clear me out. However, I do still have about £300 in work expenses owed to me, but because I have been off sick I haven't managed to submit the claim yet.

There's not much other 'money' news. I have £60 of stuff sitting in a basket on Amazon that I resisted the temptation (so far) to buy. I probably will give in a some point though as it is all educational stuff for the kids.

We had parents evening last night and both kids had a fantastic report. I was very, very proud Mammy indeed. The kids are ready for the Easter hols now and I'd like to plan some nice - and free - activities for them.

Thankyou honey, you are very welcome to jump in anytime on my diary.

  • DAILY HORSE / CAMPERVAN BUYING UPDATE: Have not bought a horse or a camper van 11/10. DS was asking this morning in bed when could we get a campervan, so extra point for not giving in under that kind of intense pressure.

Got paid on Wednesday, made the £1000 mortgage overpayment and HMRC took their £150. Bought the flights at the cost of £151, so now I am totally skint again! MUST submit expenses claim on Monday when I return to work.

Other than that I really don't have much to report. Emotions are staying fairly stable, which is obviously good. DH and I are a bit strained with each other. I think he is tired and disappointed with me for not pulling my weight more...?

  • DAILY HORSE / CAMPERVAN BUYING UPDATE: Have not bought a horse or a camper van. 10/10.

Fairly quiet day today. Went to a friend's son's birthday party in 'the big city'. So nothing spent other than a gift for him and £9 for DD's regular piano lesson. Oh, that's not true, I spent £13 buying two of the seven items in my Amazon shopping basket. Two books on multiplication for DD, so don't feel an iota of guilt about those.

What else? Looking forward to April. Very small payrise kicks in and tax free allowance increases, so should be a little bit better off. Also, we'll get our bi-annual energy bill and hopefully (fingers crossed) a small rebate from nPower. Some cashback has become payable, so when I receive that I'll send it over to the mortgage. Oh, and I did a survey for £3 today, not much but 'every little helps'.

DH and I are a little bit better with each other today, hopefully this will continue to improve.

Good news ahead next month then :D

Pay increase is always nice, even if it is only small, as you say every little helps :T
