Nutri Vitahar scam

This website originates in US and does not have any contact address on it. It seems many such websites are luring UK customers. Please always check contact details and whether the company is indeed registered in UK.
Unfortunately I also got conned on Saturday. But wrote to my credit card company straight away. I have disputed the transaction and they have suspended the payment as well.
I rang them 15 minutes after the order and they have the guts to ask me how their customer service is. In between it seems they have various forms by which they operate, Nutri Vitahar or Vitahar are only 2 of them.
I have complained the action fraud office but will encourage everyone to complain to the serious fraud office through action fraud.0 -
Ok, was redirected back to UK trading standards. Looking like we are sitting ducks for these fraud online companies.0

they are very clever in the way they set up there website and there terms and conditions..
looks like they will keep on getting away with it..
it may not be a scam to uk trading standards but it is to the people who have been conned..

It is frustrating. Is there no option without which this scam can be stopped?
My credit card company has reverted back suggesting that the company has pre authorised the payment. Looks like there is no other way other than to cancel the credit card. I will look completely stupid if they charge after 14 days and the credit card company allows it to happen.
The initial payment of £4.95 is disputed but looks will be a long winded process before it is reversed.0 -
I could kick myself for not checking the company out before parting with my credit card details. it wasn't until it was too late that i realised that as well as paying for shipping costs for trial product (not unreasonable) that i found out that from here in after i would be debited £94 per month (... x 2 as i'd ordered both products) until such time as i cancelled my 'order'.
So trading standards, if that is not a scam then what exactly is? I was led to believe that i was ONLY paying via credit card for post and package costs for a free trial product. it wasn't until i'd pressed the enter key that i was given the welcome news that i was now tied into a monthly order, which to cancel involved some convolution. the following is my A to B of what i had to do to get out of this, it may help others in the same position.
1. unlike other people i did receive my free trial product within a week.
2. i phoned the company number and spoke to a rep (who was in Costa Rica). after a 10 minute conversation where the rep tried everything to dissuade me from cancelling, i finally obtained the necessary Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) numbers (one for each product). i was told that i would have to ring them again and provide the post office tracking number for the returning product.
3. i filled out the return sticker with the RMA's and (people don't forget) enclosed the order letter with the products as instructed in the small print.
4. i posted the product back by recorded post (£7.50).
5. i again phoned the company the following day and when i eventually got through, I was asked for the order number - which surprise surprise was on the header of the order letter that i'd sent back with the product. fortunately i had written down the order number and was able to provide it.
7. i was then asked for the RMA's and tracking number.
8. It was at this point that i was told that i had fulfilled my obligations and would not be charged anything further.
9. but just in case, i phoned my credit card company (lost/stolen) and told them that i thought my card may be compromised. having explained my sorry saga the card rep put a stop on any further payments to the company ( the £2.99 for postage for each product had already been paid).
So now fingers crossed, i have, at a total cost of £13.48 stopped any further credit card payments to this scam.
lesson well and truly learnt.
I'd be interested to know whether anything has been taken out of your account since.
I'm in the same boat as you guys, and I'm cursing myself profusely for not researching this beforehand rather than after. Did this yesterday, called my bank straightaway and cancelled my debit card and got them to block any future payments from the company then finally got through to the company (again, in costa rica) after the previous assistant disconnected from me! And they said I have to wait to receive the bottle before I can receive the RMA number which should be in 2-3 days.
The irony is, this product is for combating hair breakage etc, I'm pretty sure the stress and anxiety this is causing me is adding to that!0 -
Finally, digging around further, it seems the UK trading standards should have no objection as this company has previously violated ASA norms. If you give a search with the following address on the internet, then it will reveal the asa ruling.
Natural Health Network Ltd
Suite 7, Peel House
30 The Downs, Altrincham
Cheshire WA142PX ENGLAND
This is the same company and operates under different names. It has products ranging from face cream, raspberry ketones, vitahar, brivon.
I will send a complaint to UK trading standards but if someone is cheshire based then do call the local police and inform them.0 -
My God, this scam gets deeper as I search on it more and more. The Altrincham based address is of mail boxes etc company. There is no office there. Not sure how ASA issued a ruling against them. I called their office and was told that this company operates out of Costa Rica.
It seems for many years now, I may have dumped my body with health products which are pure scams.0 -
I am from South Africa and purchased the Nutri Vitahar Hair Products online using my credit card on 11 October 2014, to date I have not received any products however the supplier has deducted further large payments over a period of 2 months without my authority. The website does not provide company information and it was extremely difficult to access contact details as you have to provide personal details again like you ordering the product in order to access the page which has a few contact details. I reported this to my bank and have had to cancel my credit card. I emailed the supplier to refund monies deducted as I have never received any product, the supplier responded relying on terms and conditions which were not met, I advised that I did not accept any further payments neither were further shipping or handling payments set out. I requested proof of dispatch of the products as well as proof of the alleged agreement and terms and conditions authorising these debits. In terms of SA and UK contract law and consumer protection law I advised that supplier that they have not performed according to any alleged agreement as the product was not sent, however payments deducted. The supplier completely ignored my request and continued insisting terms and conditions are not met as the customer must contact them to advise that product was not received etc and then offered a 25% refund if I provide my bank details. I mean who in their right mind who provide these details yet again. It is extremely difficult dealing with this matter from SA, however I have managed to report it to Action Fraud UK who has confirmed that this supplier has indeed committed fraud and I completed a full report on the events. They have advised that any product which was ordered and payment made however the product is not received is indeed fraud. It is extremely disheartening that one cannot safely rely on any form of online shopping which destroys the image of other innocent online businesses trying to make living. If I had not had another account with funds the amount deducted would have made it extremely difficult with living expenses as the amount stolen is detrimental in SA rands. Be aware and possibly report to trading standards UK. This company does not provide any direct company information or contact details clearly visible.

Absolutely no doubt . There is not even a need to debate that. I am surprised at the open deceit they are doing.
The very fact that you can not cancel even after 1 minute of ordering. They say there order has reached warehouse. But is the warehouse on the moon that they can't cancel? Why should I pay for RMA costs when it is their mistake that they can't stop the order.
They are frauds, scamsters. I am furious they have been getting away for years under different names. They come back each time with a different brand to thug stupid customers like us.
I know someone returned the product but I want to know if I don't give a damn to their bottle and just cancel my credit card. Can they do anything?
How dare they do daylight robbery?I really want to punch these guys in their face.0 -
Just believe that most of our government agencies only take cognizance when there is something that shocks the whole world. What if this company is actually a terrorist cartel who cheats customers in west and in democracies world over and then fund terrorists in Pakistan/Syria etc. Why has UK trading standards taken no action here? Why do agencies like action fraud not taken complaints here? We are so vulnerable.
Maybe I am over reacting but may be I am not.0
