  • HI THERE. I THINK I HAVE Fallen for this scam. I received a bottle of pills and a jar of liquid this week....but I applied for this free trial about two months ago and when nothing turned up I assumed it just hadn't worked as I did it on my phone and never got any conformation.
...But I have since had a new bank card since I ordered this 'free trial'. Does that mean that they cannot charge me now for any reoccurring costs???
Id love some help on this as im not sure how it works. Can they still charge me when all they have is may old card details??????

I havn't tried calling them yet by the sound of things its not going to go well.

  • Hi All I have been scammed with this too im furious I cannot afford to lose £190 for nothing ...I have been intouch with my bank and blocked any future payments to iether Nutra or x-proto but sadly thay cannot help me reclaim my money but any future payments are covered so i will get that money Back.

I was given another phone number by the bank to try as the one on the paperwork seems to be constantly on answer phone and annoying music (0808 178 0047). I was also told they apear to be a uk company. This is good it means we are covered by the Consumer contract regulations act 13/6/14

Which states we are covered to a refund if we return said items within 14 days of receiving and we can claim up to 14 days after returning the items ...its a good idea to get proof of posting but no point recording it because if they refuse to sigh it will never get back

this act means they have to refund the postage we paid for them to send it and the cost of the goods

preticked or ticked boxes do not tie us to a contract as they cannot overwrite the regulations and if any of you didnt recieve the items within 30 days of ordering that makes anyagreement null and void

Now i just need to get them to answer the phone.

Aswell as this i have complained about them to watch dog and will be approaching the local Media for assistence .... fingers crossed ...other than that ill get an address and take them to small claims court

Hopefully i will keep my Sanity good luck everyone lets spread the word and stop these con merchants :T

Hi guys, literally ordered the trials then realised I shouldn't have done that and immediately contacted customer support by email, as phone lines aren't open, trying to get them to not dispatch the products and stop the payments. But i fear they are going to dispatch it anyway and then I'll experience the problems listed above of being charged over £90 when it doesn't arrive in 14 days. Will have to wait 2 days until I can phone them. Although.. I haven't currently got £90 on my debit card, does that mean they can't charge me? Am I saved?

    Credit Card Pre-Authorization

With you initially sign-up for Vitahar we will pre-authorize your card for an amount between £50 and £100. This pre-authorization will not affect your account balance and the authorization is voided immediately. We do this as part of our ongoing effort to minimize online credit-card fraud. Should you have any questions about the pre- authorization, please feel free to contact a customer service representative call 0808-238-0020 (UK) Mon-Fri: 8AM-5PM, SAT: 9AM-1PM GMT.
in other words they got there grubby hands on your credit card allready

    cheers steve
  • I fell for this yesterday evening (December 16th) after seeing a "report" online about the product's amazing success rate when taken in conjunction with Brivon. I ordered both products, so got scammed twice!

Felt slightly suspicious immediately after I made the order and Googled both products and realised I had been taken for a ride. Got in touch with my credit card company straight away (HSBC), who advised me to cancel my credit card there and then, which I did. They told me that the £2.99 x 2 will have left my account, but could not guarantee that Vitahar would not be able to take any more money from me. HSBC advised me to phone and email Vitahar to say I wanted the order cancelled.

I phoned Vitahar immediately and said I wanted to cancel the order but their "representative" said that wasn't possible because the order had already been dispatched - a maximum of 15 minutes after I had placed the order online! I told him that he was lying, that the whole operation was a scam and that I'd cancelled my card, so there was no point in sending me the products. He said sorry it's already been dispatched. As anthem1612 says, it was like talking to a brick wall.

I suppose my question is, now that I have cancelled my card, will Vitahar have any chance of taking the next £190 from my account in 14 days when (doubtless) the trial products will not have arrived? And do Vitahar have any legal right to force me to pay that £190 because I signed up to the terms and conditions?
  • Well, you can add me to this list of sorry souls that have been had. I am so angry about this. They stole $$ from my bank account. That money was to buy Christmas gifts for my 2 small kids
My situation is identical just about, to anthem1612 and many here. Last week the product came late. I read the letter and tried to stop this auto-ship from happening. I sent email, it got bounced back to me. I had already had a bad feeling so I went to my bank to get a new card and see if they could stop this. Too late. They'd just stolen $240 CDN from me.By the time I got through to the company, they said it was too late and couldn't get a refund. How can a company force people into a membership against their will, and literally steal their money right out from under them and nothing can be done? I am so angry. I don't even want to use these products, goodness knows what's actually inside the bottles of Brivon & Vitahar!!
It's never a good time to be scammed but the holidays make it especially more difficult. :( I can't believe that this company is allowed to universally wrip people off like this. This is unethical, criminal and they need to be stopped. Oh and another similar company, LifeCell, does the same thing. Don't fall victim to this folks. Avoid these types of scam. The next time I see "Only pay shipping for this Trial Offer" that's the big flashing red warning light. Run with smoke coming off your heels!

in a way you did not sign up to the terms and conditions which was already ticked

    steve
  • according to the trading standards cardiff who i just phoned up
this is not a scam it was my fault i should have read the terms and conditions before i ordered the pills...

and to get the company address and write to them and as a good will gesture on there part to refund me my money,i said it was hard enough to phone the number on the website i got no chance of finding there address..

so beware people read the terms and conditions before you order stuff
(who reads the terms and conditions)

so people are still going to fall for this scam I STILL SAY THIS IS A SCAM...

    cheers steve
