Can I reject this car?
                    Hi all,
I have an 18 month old BMW purchased from new. In feb it went in for a service and a knocking from wheel.
Had new steering rack.
Went back again 4 times with a strange vibrating noise, on 5th attempt this was fixed along with another knocking noise. I still have a knocking noise in the steering wheel.
Its had a new clutch cable, steering column, steering rack, exhaust flexi pipe and yet I still have an issue.
So I picked it up after 5th fix (finance company involved gave dealership a nudge) and it still has an issue. Im seriously fed up, paying over 400pcm for a car with so many issues, not least the travelling to and from the delearship and time off work?
No idea what my options are?

It definatly didn't have a new clutch cable as its hydraulic. Lol. Anyways apart from that I take it your car is an f30 3 series? The knocking from the OSF front is not just on your vehicle and if you feel you want to reject the vehicle BMW customer service is your next step, they should be more help than the finance company and will be able to take your case further0

If you were to reject it - which i doubt you can - you would only be entitled to market value, not a full refund.
You would be as well trying to work something with the dealership against another car at preferential terms - maybe involve BMW UK?0

Its an F20 1 series. They told me the clutch wasnt releasing properly as i had clutch judder, they said it was the release cable!!
I thought I read on here something about 6 years to reject certain products.0

BMW customer service were less help than BMW Finance. the quality standards department of BMW finance is apparently the bis cheeses in getting stuff done through dealerships!!0

            Release bearing maybe, not cable?
Have you looked on an owners forum, see if it's a common fault and what the cause is?0

Some are but ive had the bits replaced that should have solved some of the issues. The cause is shoddy parts in the first place.0

You're thinking of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, wherein a consumer has up to 6 years from date of purchase to seek a remedy should a fault occur.

            £400 a month for a 1 series!? A Golf R is £170 on lease to put that in perspective.0
