It sounds like the cream has curdled - perhaps the chocolate was too hot when you added it?
What does it taste like? If it still tastes fine, then don`t worry too much. The only problem is that if it is curdled, the cream will separate - in other words, you`ll get a sort of milk at the bottom running off, which WOULD spoil it.
If you think you might have to chuck it anyway, it might be worth adding a teaspoonful of lemon juice and then folding the mixture together. That sometimes works...
Good luck!0 -
Thanks for the reply.
Gutted....guess I'll have to buy something now!

was the cream really cold when u folded in the white choc???
it might hav started as soon as it hit the cold cream so might not have folded in properly???
sounds silly to say - but have the berries caused the lumps???
Won't hurt you, and if it's separated it wont hurt you either...
maybe not take it as a show desert to a friends but don't chuck it - it seems such a waste of effort and of food.
enjoy your evening xx0 -

No cream was probably room temp or tiny bit colder. I bought it hour ago and brought it home in car and it sat on worktop til I was ready for it.
Choc was hot but it had been out of the boiling pot for a minute before I put it in.
Think I will keep it for me to eat as you say
