I'm sure it'll be great. Just make sure that you have everything prepared, and the kitchen clear before you start. I generally find that things go wrong because I'm missing something/in a rush/people are getting in the way, I don't have enough space or I can't find a piece of equipment. If I have the space and time to work it out, it's all fine!If it stays in one piece then I will photograph it. I bet its a disaster. It is for my OH to take on her visit to her family at the weekend.
Great ideaWill have to make two so I can try it.

Hi bongedone,
That looks delicious! Now that you've made it I'll add your thread to the main thread on making cheesecake as your query may help others.

When you make a cheesecake -whether it is a baked cheesecake or not - (and I'm looking at a recipe for a baked raspberry cheesecake) and the recipe states that you need "cream cheese", what is that exactly? Mascarpone? - which is a bit expensive - or something like Philadelphia cream cheese (in which case I could get a shop own brand for a cheaper version)? Or something else?LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Thank you to both of you! Cheesecake is not really a French recipe, hence the stupid question
