Ok, call received from 3 executive office who stated yesterday that they was sure they could resolve matters with me.
Unfortunately they could not. They stated there was no discounts given out loyalty or otherwise and that it was not going on at all. I disagreed and stated he was wrong and it was this reason why I was so unhappy as they were treating customers different from each other and not fairly.
He said they did not want to deal with doing deals for 12mth contracts as I stated I was happy to have a 12mth contract. There was just the offer on the table as stated in the letter which is £3 off £33 for 1mth rolling contracts.
He took delight in saying he was sending out a final response letter but it was if no use as the regulators will not get involved in a commercial decision which I said I knew that but as a company you are not treating your customers fairly.
Poor service from 3 and as soon as the other contracts are finished they will be cancelled also.
God help us if they do join ranks with O2 as it will give us even less choice and competition as we do now.
I remember when Tesco acted so arrogant with their customers as they were trying to build their empire. Look at the issues they are facing now.
Absolute waste of time and energy.
Good luck everyone

Wow that's really poor and to deny they're offering discounts is stupid and a lie ! I'd also be really !!!!ed
I've read posts from others peopl in past about very negative replies from Three's "executive office" so perhaps that route is to be avoided.0 -
That is what has annoyed me most, he would not admit that some customers were offered a discount. Also the smug comment about Ofcom.
For some reason it seems they are pushing for 1mth contracts. If I was to be cynical it would think it was so they could change terms and prices easier as one of the advisors said the reason they had not cancelled the one plan sooner is due to so many still being in contract so they had to wait. I think there are big changes ahead.
I would not trust a word they say and it is the principle of how some of us are treated differently to other customers for the same product.
I was a customer when 3 first started with an old LG flip phone with video calling being the new thing, the customer service was !!!! then and it was years before I tried again, I shouldn't have bothered.
Anyway, time to look at my options.
Take care xx0 -
I am really surprised at this. I contacted them last weekend for two one plans contracts and without much haggling they gave me new plans with £11 discount on one and £9 discount on the other. Actually I am regretting not pushing harder as I think I could have got the AYCD (normally £30) which many people got for £200

Maybe they received instruction yesterday to not discount and I was at the cut off point?
It would be useful to hear from anyone else still getting discounts.
I have also heard the number on the letter is different dept than the normal customer services?
I would not recommend the exec office at all as they were just reading my complaint email and it was very clear at the beginning of the call I was wasting my time. He confirmed immediately no discounts were being given and would not be going forward.
Keep us all updated0 -

"Asked for my PAC code last night was offered some deals but nothing I wanted.
Just had a call this morning asking me why I'm leaving, in then end they offered me AYCE minutes, texts and data plus 12GB tethering for £20 on a 12 month contract which I have accepted.
I did tell them I was moving to BT Mobile for unlimited minutes, texts and 20GB data for £16 per month."

Maybe it makes a difference asking for a PAC rather than asking to transfer to PAYG like I have?0
-
All of this fannying about - asking for contract changes or PAC's
Just give them an ultimatum - no change to T&C or you will walk.......0 -
Well to be fair 50Twuncle you haven't had the letter so it doesn't affect you yet.
You have limited choice when you want AYCE data. I spend a lot of time in hospital and I use data for TV and keeping me sane instead of using their paytv in the hospital.
When you get the letter through you can please yourself if you want to walk. My argument is that they are not treating everybody the same in a fair way.0 -

Not sure.
The reason I went the convert contract to PAYG was to avoid being charged on the new terms and still keeping my number without needing to transfer to a new provider within 30 days. The option with the PAC is use it within 30 days or let it lapse which means ending up on the new terms.
From Three's point of view it still loses a contract and recuring payment but give the PAC a try. Whilst I've really wanted to rip Three a new one I've found being polite and talking though the issue got me a better result than when I've said stick I'll leave although this is really how I felt lol.
At the end of the day I just wanted to achieve the best compromise and pay around the same price as my £15 One Plan, still have AYCE data with a tethering allowance and more than 200 mins.0
