I suspect you mean your Broadband connection download speed rather than your home Wifi signal. Can you not change ISP

My speed isn't great but I live in a prehistoric terraced house and the signal doesn't seem to travel around the house unfortunately so I end using the three signal. Ive tried a range of routers but it doesn't seem to help

I received the letter for my one plan but not for my wife's one plan (both on monthly basis). I contacted 3 over the weekend and changed both contracts to other tarrifs they offered me because I thought I will have more bargaining power with 2 contracts...thinking now that I should have waited on the other contract until we get the letter..it may never come

We have two "One Plan" contracts on a 30 day basis, no letter(s) yet... Did you actually have any bargaining advantage with having two contracts?
Speaking with a friend who received a letter last week, Three didn't want to offer any discount or haggle, so I think he's off to EE.

Try using homeplugs, they work really well!

Lol - Three's upgrade offer to me was to cut tethering from AYCE to 12GB and increase the cost for this privilage from £15 to £30 !

The letter I received gives 30 days notice not 60 - "If we don't hear from you in the next 30 days, your account for xxxxxxxxx will be automatically changed on xx/xx/xxxx to all-you-can-eat data + all-you-can-eat minutes. Please treat this letter as your 30 days' notice of variation of your plan. Your new plan will have a monthly charge of £30 and will be on a 1 month rolling contact."

As an update after raising a complaint I was eventually put through to another team that sounded like it was in the UK not India. After going though my complaint I was offered a 1 month rolling plan with AYCE data, 600 mins, 2000 3 to 3 mins and unltd texts for £17 pm.

    Hi

What telephone number did you try and did you have to go through the issue of saying you wanted to cancel etc?

Can you tell me what you said to get through to the UK call centre as I would be happy to accept that deal you have been offered. I presume you get 12gb tethering too?

    Thanks

    xx

Yes the plan is AYCE data of which 12GB can be tethered. It's basically the sim only plan shown on Three's website for £28 but with an additional 2000 3 to 3 mins added.

I had already called Three several days ago when I got the letter and gone through their "offers". Nothing good IMO was offered so I asked that my contract number convert to PAYG after the 30 day notice.

Then just thinking about the change and looking at what I purchased way back I got to thinking. So this am I rang the 0800 358 4836 number on the notification letter and explained that I wanted to raise a complaint. The guy tried to offer me different things none of which were suitable and I persisited with raising a complaint. Eventually a complaint case was raised with a case ref number and I was put through to a different team which sounded like it was UK based. The guy I talked with was really helpful and appeared to have much more flexibility than the first guy.

    Hope that helps.

I managed to get what I think two good deals:

    - For me: 8GB data, unlimited min and txt for £16 on monthly contract

-For my wife: 4GB data, unlimited min and txt for £12 on 12 months contract

I read that some people are getting every thing unlimited for £20 (normally £30) so I might try to call again after a month if I exceed the 8GB on my contract
