Hi. Im having the same issue the rep on the phone said the sim only one plan isn't changing for existing customers and informed me that unless I make a change to my package the cannot change it. I found this on the 3 website three clearance Co UK. this statement

Unfortunately we don't offer All-you-can-eat data plans for mobile broadband - and it isn't possible to use an All-you-can-eat SIM in a mobile broadband device without incurring additional charges. However, if you are already a customer who has The One Plan SIM-Only deal, you get to keep your unlimited tethering as long as you don't move to another plan.

So im still confused:( ! Any ideas anyone this was taken from the 3 Web site today! I don't want to move as I need the tethering for work and as I work in forestry needless to say no BB in the middle of the forest! Whilst working I stay at the forest. Which is the whole reason I chose 3.. Ive tried to call but I've had no luck getting through!

The official Three website is https://www.three.co.uk.

You will be moved from the one plan, if you have had the letter you will already have a date when you will move or be moved.

  • Finally said goodbye to my One Plan today, moved over to the unlimited data, 4GB tethering allowance, AYCE minutes and texts = £11 a month (after they applied the £10 pm discount). I'm happy with that :)

Was that offered today? I thought all the current AYCE plans had a 12GB tethering limit now.

I actually had to call them anyway to cancel/give 30 days notice to end another sim only contract for another family member because they're getting a new phone & number, and it was while I was doing this that he noticed I was on the One Plan ...and I knew what was coming next and to be fair I'd been expecting this for the best part of a year or so now..so I asked what can you do for me?

I'd been paying £15 a month on the One Plan (after they apply that £10 discount each month) and would probably been happy to stay at £15 a month to be honest. So he looked through all my usage over the last 12 months and told me as far as tethering went I'd used 2gb over the entire year, texts minimal and minutes:the maximum I'd used was approx 1000 minutes in one month - so I'd never reached anything like the max limits of the One Plan anyway.

He offered AYCE mobile data, AYCE Minutes and texts with the 4GB tethering cap for £11 (which would normally be £21) and I said yes please, thanks very much. :money:

Not sure, I think the plan you're talking about is the £30 a month one? Which is AYCE everything. He definitely said as far as mobile data usage goes it's unlimited/ayce but with the 4GB tethering cap.

Yes, I got the offer today, well yesterday the 1st of December but it doesn't kick in on my account until my next billing period on the 27th.

That's not what the text in the image says, you are on the 4GB allowance plan, as in 4GB data for handset and tethering.

This will be your price plan:

You've either misunderstood him or he has given wrong info.

The cheapest AYCE plan is £18 a month and that one includes a 12GB tethering allowance.

So have you been on to Three to check why you have a 4GB data allowance in your text?

No, not yet. But I will do (still within the 14 day cooling off period to drop out of the new contract) but...if even they have intentionally misled me (I'm sure I was told unlimited data and the 4GB related to tethering cap) I can't see any other mobile provider that comes close to the unlimited minutes/texts & 4GB data for £11 a month.

So I might just have to stick with it. Just checking back through my phone's data usage history each month, the maximum amount of data I've ever used this year was 1.72GB so I doubt I'll even get close to using the full 4GBs.
