    Hi,

I too have a bank accounts with lloyds tsb both overdrawn due to their overdraft charges, I am expecting to pay another 300 on the 1st of may and again in june for around 700 due to their daily charges now. I have moved my wages, ctc and wtc aswell as child benefit to a basic bank account I have with another bank and will arrange to pay as much as I can when I can, but i'm a little bit suprised to see that people are saying they get charged because of the charges applied to their account. If you are only overdrawn on your account because of their charges and nothing else - they don't charge you as it is their fault you are overdrawn. All they charge is the normal interest so I think some of you need to look into this. Also after I have been charged the charges due on my account in june they will have taken about £2000 in charges, as I am a single parent and on child tax credit etc and off on maternity leave could I write to them to reclaim my charges under the hardship section or should I wait until it is all over?

    Any help you be great.

I had a offer from lloyds of £750 and they said they are unable to refund any more charges as they say this is the MAXIMUM they will give me? Can i still reclaim for the rest of the charges of £400 ?

  • Yes you can. Only accept the 750 as a part payment and not a full and final settelment.

Make sure that the bank is aware of this fact.

You may end up going through the courts for the rest though.

    Keep pushing.
  • It's the old lloydstsb goodwill gesture at word again. i was offered the £750 last may and they would'nt accept my calls to say i did'nt want to accept the offer but was credited to my account anyway and i'm in the process of trying to claim the other £2000.

PHEW! I,m glad i,m not the only one that had the offer from lloyds.

so what do i do now? reapply for the rest of my charges deducting the 750 that they credited to my account? They said in the letter that this was a maximum they will give me.

  • reading other posts it is the norm for lloyds to offer the £750 goodwill. just put in another claim, but every claim is still on hold till mid may i think.
