Even though the option is there, you will not be able to issue judgement for 14 days (if they do not acknowledge) or 28 days if they do. Chances are Lloyds will acknowledge, apply for a stay and it will be granted. If you pressed the button, it would just tell you that a long enough period had not passed (or something like that).

    Sorry.

  • Hi

When I pressed on the judgement button it gave me two options i pressed the second option saying they had acknowledged the claim and admitted they owed the money and there is now a judgement request and reply to admission form which I can see when I click on judgements not not a long enough period has passed as you say it would. I think they are going to cough up the money but we will see.

What you have clicked on is to apply for judgement by default

If you made the claim on the 3rd. it will be deemed sreved on the 8th and they have till 22nd to acknowledge,so the 22nd is the very earliest you could apply for judgement by default.
  • there is now a stay until September 30th, so expect a lot more bank charges until then!

unless someone says that all charges should be frozen until the outcome, this would seem fair IMO, but it doesn't seem to be forthcoming!

Martin, any heads up on this??

on friday 4th paypal tried to take £2.77 out of my account but i only had 9p in until tuesday 8th when my money was going into my account . so what happens this morning i open my post to a letter from the TSB saying they are charging me £39 for unplaned overdraft of £2.68 . im so annoyed what a rip off this is . £15 is the unplanned overdraft fee plus a daily fee of £6 = £39 even though this is over a weekend peroid when most branches are closed at the bottom of the letter it says we have made this payment so you will not be charge a returned item fee which is ONLY £20 i wonder how many they acctually returrn . i have been out of work for 18mths because of a operation on my back so only get £125 every 2 weeks so spoke to there telephone service and all i got was you should watch your bank account and make sure enough money is in . well that is just plain and utter rip off from the unhelp bank . she said you should of got a letter say to put your account in order before the charge kicks in but i didnt . does anybody think it would be an help going into my branch or am i going to hit the TSB wall
  • Hi,

Im with Lloyds TSB and Natwest, It does state in Lloyds tsb terms and conditions about the daily over draft rate up to max of so many days, they do offer a text service to allow you to pay money in if they know your going over drawn but it dpends on what type of account you have, the lower ones you have to pay £2.50 a month for this service, if this is your first time you could nip in and see the manager, they tend to let you off if you lay it on for the first time, just explain about the money and your op and this one payment slipped your mind, its worth a try, worse thing they can say is no

its just unreal that for them lending me £2.68 for 4 days i have got to give them back £39 thats some interest rate that is just the biggest rip off ever . but if you was a loan shark you would be locked up for charging that sort of interest to a person.

hey there, i still have an open account with these rip off merchants and i changed banks because i went overdrawn by about £15. By the time they send a letter out to advise you of this its too late to bring the account into credit again. Which is what i tried to do. I then receive a letter on how much they are going to help themselves to (im sure just so that the Director of the bank can go out and fuel his state of the art aston martin). The amount of charges has been rising and rising because out of protest i refuse to pay any more charges. The amount is now £750. How they can justify this crap is beyond me. They are sick in the head and im furious. When it was at the early stages I did ask them if i could pay half one month then half the next and I was told they couldnt help me. I tried but they are quite happy to get people into more debt, surely there is something i can do to get these idiot to shut up!!!!! HELP!!!!!
