Following my first claim letter to LTSB, I got a letter on Saturday saying that they're looking into the charges I'm claiming for and that it might take some time, so be patient.

I also got another letter from them offering me £102 'fair charges blah blah blah' ON THE SAME DAY! These people are idiots...

I'm having no luck with Lloyds TSB. Have sent all the necessary info to prove financial hardship but keep getting standard responses. Every time I chase by post I get the "we will get back to you in 4 weeks" letter. Every time I chase by phone I get the run around before being told to write it.

Actually got some response in April the usual blah blah about the case being on hold and then "We appreciate that you may have wanted to have your complaint dealt with more quickly, however let us assure you there is little point in writing to us again regarding your claim"
    How unprofessional is that.

Went the the FSO with the complaint in March & got a letter saying they had a bit of a backlog. Does anyone now how long it will take for the FSO to actually start doing something?

tsb seem to be the only bank that refuse to pay out in hardship i havent seen one single success all they will do is give over draft to cover charges so they can charge you again that isnt helping there customers thats adding to the misery that a lot of there customers who are in hardship are suffering at the moment. There arrogance astounds me they hide behind the waiver and just say to you thats all they have to do until the end of the test case.Dont they think they should do what is right and pay out on hardship at least instead of trying to think of more ways to get money out of people who are genuinley struggling other banks seem to be able to pay out . sorry for the rant feel better now.

They took about a month to come back to me with an offer, but that was for a credit card claim.
  • Can I just ask PPL out there something?
I took out a personal loan with TSB and at the time they assured me the flexibility of my overdraft would be the same and that I could still up or down it as I wished. To cut a long story short when I DID try to up it not long after due to some unforeseen problems I was twice refused!
I now have a battle on with them as they are being over the top and heavy handed with me I feel and am dealing with it via the FOS at the moment. Is there a thread dedicated to this kind of complaints procedure on here does anyone know please?
