I'm claiming with Lloyds too. Have been since late 2007 and i have recently gone to claiming hardship as i've taken a substantial drop in salary and have priority debts, the bank charged me for being overdrawn once, then took a DD return charge which left me short. I cant pluck money out of thin air and the following debit was returned, leaving me overdrawn and i was charged again.
I have proved their charges directly had a detrimental effect on my finances but all i got was the same letters everyone else got.
I think they look at each claimant and say, "if you're gonna use template letters, so are we" and thats what they do.
My claim is for just short of £6000, in their letter they say from their investigations i MAY be experiencing financial difficulties. Note that their wording of that isn't agreeing i'm in financial hardship.
I've drafted another letter up, along with my CCCS expenditure list, i'm also going to include a copy of the Annexe 2 section of the waiver, highlighting the FOS recommendations to assess my claim regardless of the test case.
Every other bank is paying out when you're persistant, what makes Lloyds think they're above that.
I suppose it has something to do with the £23billion in losses they had last year. I dont know how they have the bear faced cheek to punish me for poor account management when it was their charges that caused it. Especially when as a bank themselves were grossly incompetent in running their affairs and company properly.
I intend to get the lot back, i will not stop contacting them until i have all my money back.LBM -

Hi there,
I need help:money:pleaseee! My account went under my overdraft for 6pounds only in December 2008. After the 7th day I saw I paid money into and wrote to Lloyds asking them to not charge me £66 in charges as I have lost my job and was not using the account and the 6pounds were a direct debit I forgot to stop. They NEVER acknowledge my letter or freeze the account/charges.
I went to the bank many times ad spoke on the phone but never a reply even though all visits and phone calls were logged by the bank but no reply. Charges now are £200 and increasing they don't acknowledged their mistake in not getting back to me. They are harassing me calling me up from collection department almost everyday to set up a payment saying my agreement with bank was that I have to pay for those charges if I didn't look after my overdraft.
I am in jobseekers as I have been for sometime still. What do I do ?? Go to Ombudsman to ask for charges back even though Lloyds says it is legal in the contract I signed when I opened the account and bound myself in and should not be under my overdraft limit
OR
do I carry on the snowball asking again to have charges taken away? PLEASE HELP as interest is increasing everyday and I am on £60 a week only by jobseekers. What do I do??:eek: I am soo desperate. If I go to the Ombudsman what should I say/write = ask for the charges back or for the charges to be removed as they didn't reply to all my contacts since bak Jan???
Thank you any help appreciated,
Regards0 -

hi all, well i think tsb is just taking the mick now, am going to have a rant cos im fed up lol , asked for my case to be looked at in feb 07 cos in f/h now ive gone to the fo cos the lady from andover said no charges are going to be refunded until after the test case ,so any way i swopped banks now and i spoke to a guy and made arrangements to pay £20 of my o/d and £20 of my loan, he said he couldnt set up the loan to come out d/d cos i didnt have my loan num on me at the time, so on the 30th of april i went into the bank paid £20 into my account to go towards my o/d and took the slip and paid £20 of my loan, now when i have checked they have took the £20 out of my account to pay of my loan, and then on the 7th they took the £20 for my o/d so i was £20 o/d , so i thought ok they can fone me cos now im o/d there fault , noe i have checked this morning and they have took £8.95 out account charge which i cancelled on the 24th of march, this was done over the phone and the guy said it was definately cancelled , so in april checked and the accont charge was took out so i phoned them up only to be told that cos id cancelled it on the 24th of march i had to pay it cos it starts from the 7th and i hadnt cancelled it on time , so i paid that. now it has !!! out again , i dont think pple know wot they doin half the time at tsb, so am just waiting for them to fone me as im not wasting my time when it s there error any way cheers jill0
