Lloyds TSB

We are worried as we cant open another bank account and and that they may close her account if we claim back charges !!
Because of mums credit history no-one will open an account for her - we have tried believe me !!
If its a big risk of the account being closed we feel tied to NOT claiming !!
We just dont know if it is safe for us to do !!Cloudedbrains aka Donna0 -
little_missy - I'd speak to your branch (not the call centre) about them taking charges from benefits because I believe the banks have an undertaking that they wont do this. Good luck.
Cloudedbrains - when I needed to change my bank account last year, the National Debt helpline gave me the names of several banks who will take on customers with bad credit histories but only with basic current accounts - no frills. Two of these were the Nationwide and Barclays. HTH0 -
This is my first post so please be kind
I put in a claim for my bank charges with Lloyds TSB. I was told by Lloyds TSB that no cases were being considered until after the court case.
What I'd like to know is:
(a) do I have to send the whole claim back in if the test case is ruled in our favour?
(B) will my original carges be considered or will they be 'lost' if they exceed the 6 year ceiling because of the hold up with the court case?
(c) will my case be considered from the date I put my claim in
I hope someone out there has the answers and that this post doesn't make me sound too thick lol ..... it's just so confusing.
Thanx in anticipation

A few months ago I sent off my reclaim request and have had 2 letters back the first to say that they (Lloyds TSB) were looking into it and the next that all has been put on hold due to the court cases pending. I have since heard that others have been paid out??Can anyone enlighten me to the state of play at the moment?0

Normal banking procedure. They'll pay some for no apparent reason whilst not paying others. Unfortunately you look to be in the same camp as myself.0 -

LLoyds Bank
have started going through all the threads and not sure if I am even in the correct thread. basically my sons bank has now closed and his account was tranferred to a nearby branch although he retained his original sort code. where would I have to send the initial letter asking for charges made please?
Also he has now moved to N Eire where Lloyds does not exist but his stmts are still coming to me and he is going to close his account when he can. Is this likely to cause any problems? thanks you0
