i had a letter through the post yesterday morning to tell me that Lloyds where goign to be taking £135 in charges from my account on the 2nd Febuary.
now i went over drawn becasuse of a charge they took out in the middle of last month, as it was xmas i had no extra money to put in and wasnt expecting the charge. this then cost me £6 - £15 a day for 10 days. + £15 admin charge, then because of the original charge i had 2 direct debits that could not be withdrawn. so they where returned. Lloyds then put another £60 charge on the account (£30 per Direct Debit) and there is nothin i can do about itLightBulb Moment - 3rd December 2007

Hi
I am trying to reclaim from both Lloyds TSB and Barclays.
I have received back copies of statements for Lloyds TSB but they don't look like the ordinary statements and dont exactly have the usual wording on them. Are there lists which relates directly to each banks wording eg used by Lloyds TSB in connection to reclaiming? I am confused enough as it is so this would help alot. Else if I add it up wrongly will they advise me of the correct amount (even if its in their favour of me having under-estimated)?
Thanks

I need some urgent advice on what I can do about some LloydsTSB bank charges.
I have a normal currant account with a £200 agreed overdraft. Muy debts are currently being handled by CCCS so I stoped using this account some month's as Lloyds Credit Card dept kept taking out money even though they were being paid by CCCS every month- even taking out when the account was in the agreed overdraft period so UI left the account overdrawn but well under the agreed limit. Anyway, even though I was overdrawn the Credit Card dept still took £30 without telling me and this put me £5.24 over the agreed limit.
This £5.24 (which I paid up as soon as I was aware) has now incurred £114 in bank charges - the bank claim they sent me a letter but I never received it, and the 2nd letter which I did receive was sent 2nd class and took 5 days to arrive so they are charging £15 per overdraft period as it spanned 2 month's plus £6 per day.
Is there anything I can do about this? I cannot afford to pay these charges as all my spare money is going to CCCS anyway, and my only income is Income Support and Disability Living Allowance.

hi
in short there isnt much you can do. as the OFT case is ongoing and likely to be for years. not sure what cccs is. if the bank take you to court the best i can sugest is that you counter claim for bank charges and request a hold pending the OFT case result.
good luck

Hi
Is anybody else as outraged as I am about the recent change in bank charges with Lloyds TSB? I went £27 over my overdraft, from two payments on my debit card. I received a letter from the LLoyds saying that I had been charged £20 per payment because they allowed them to go through, plus £15 a day for being over my overdraft. I stupidly hadn't checked my account for a day, and recieved the letter when i got home from work the next day. They say their days now end at 3.30pm, so in effect I had been over my overdraft for two days, even though i rang them and offered to put the money in from another lloyds account on the second day (but at 5pm). This means I 've been charged £70! They say that they now charge £15 per day for up to 10 days per month. I don't understand how they can charge so much. Is this what happens in other banks???

Well I was supposed to be in court today or so I thought!!!
I had dated all my paperwork with todays date, Cause thats what I had put on the calender and in my diary, BUT IT WAS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!
 What A Bl***y idiot!!!
I've been up all night making sure I had everything clear, Printing stuff and loads of reading to make sure I knew what my arguements were.
In my defence as anyone that has read all of this thread will now I lost my husband just about 18mths ago and it would have been his 41st birthday 2morrow and things get a bit much on and around these special dates for me and my family. I was so certain that it was tomorrow, I didn't realise the mistake I had made until I was copying the letter from SCaM and checked the order from the court to see if SCaM had made a typo.:(
 ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT I DO NOW???
I phoned the court and they said I should wait about 10 days for notification or yesterdays order and then decide if i want to apply for an order tgo set aside. The lady at the court was very helpful and said I could email something over to the court in my defence and it would be added to the claim file and that it might help if I did decide to have the order set aside.
I thought I might send over the letter I had written to the judge in support of my application to have the stay removed, ANY IDEAS IF THIS WOULD BE OK AND HOW I SHOULD SAY WHY I DIDN'T ATTEND.(I can post the letter if neccesary):rotfl: Surely life can't get any worse it has to only get better from hear on out :jJanuary NSD aim 15days0 -
