Well I was supposed to be in court today or so I thought!!!

:o I had dated all my paperwork with todays date, Cause thats what I had put on the calender and in my diary, BUT IT WAS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!! :o

    What A Bl***y idiot!!!

I've been up all night making sure I had everything clear, Printing stuff and loads of reading to make sure I knew what my arguements were.

In my defence as anyone that has read all of this thread will now I lost my husband just about 18mths ago and it would have been his 41st birthday 2morrow and things get a bit much on and around these special dates for me and my family. I was so certain that it was tomorrow, I didn't realise the mistake I had made until I was copying the letter from SCaM and checked the order from the court to see if SCaM had made a typo.:(

 ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT I DO NOW???

I phoned the court and they said I should wait about 10 days for notification or yesterdays order and then decide if i want to apply for an order tgo set aside. The lady at the court was very helpful and said I could email something over to the court in my defence and it would be added to the claim file and that it might help if I did decide to have the order set aside.

I thought I might send over the letter I had written to the judge in support of my application to have the stay removed, ANY IDEAS IF THIS WOULD BE OK AND HOW I SHOULD SAY WHY I DIDN'T ATTEND.(I can post the letter if neccesary)

  • Hi All,
Although the test case between the FSA and the high street banks is going on, I am still getting charged for going overdrawn on my current account with Lloyds TSB. I am fully aware that this is my own problem but I have already put in a claim for the last 6 years charges, plus interest. Can I still claim for the charges to be given back to me since I sent the letter?

    Thanks for reading.
  • I'm Banking with lloyds TSB, and during december last year i went £8 pounds over my overdraft, but i wasn't informed til later that i was overdrawn, i was £8 overdrawn for 8 or 9 days, and they are charging me £6 a day for it, the charge is £54, plus they are charging me a monthly fee of £15, so it brings it to £69! i was £8 over and they charge me that!

Anyhoo, i have til the 1st of Febuary to pay this insane amount, to say, it is an Unplanned overdraft of £50 and if anyone can give me any advice it would be great, because this whole thing confuses me.

also, i went into the bank to ask them if i could pay it in installments, because i'm on jobseekers allowance right now, and i can't really afford fro them to take £70 from me in one go, but they said they can't, and i'd have to have the money in my account on the 1st of next month.

and help will be appreciated people!

can anyone help me,,, i sent tsb my letter asking for bank charges list on the 10th of jan with cheque for £10.. then had letter on the 15th saying they was stopping my overdraft of £200 , which im over due to bank charges by £285.71.. and they wanted immediate payment. im on benefits at the minute and therefore i havent got that amount of money to pay into my account..
ANYONE GOT ANY ADVICE FOR ME ?????
  • I believe that the bank cannot take your benefits from you after reading several posts in here so you should have a case. Have a look at other posts and hopefully one of the board guides should be able to guide you. Good Luck!
  • will i have to pay the bank the charges then claim them back, or is there something i can do to stop them charging me?
