  • I've been helping my boyfriend reclaim his bank charges after I was successful in reclaiming my charges.
He sent Lloyds the standard letters and got a reply saying please give us six weeks etc. Anyway we put in a claim through Moneyclaim a couple of weeks ago and Lloyds say they are going to defend. I'm a bit worried cos I didn't get that far with my claim now I'm not sure if I've done things properly.
He got a letter form Lloyds solicitors today saying

" Looking ahead, a situation which gives rise to dispute is not one the bank wishes to continue. In view of this you are requested , please to make contact within 14 days with your local Lloyds TSB Branch Manager, to review your account. A review mau be useful to consider whether your current banking arrangements are the most appropriate for your needs."

I think that sounds like they're going to close his account, he's been with them for over 10 years! the amount he's trying to reclaim is only £200.
Has anyone else had a similar letter? I need some advice please i'm very worried!

Don't worry, it's a standard letter they send out. If it's any consolation, that letter arrived the same day as another letter from SC&M telling me they were going to pay me anyway, so don't worry.
  • Thanks GeordieBloke, that's made me less worried, I just don't know if my OH should ring them or if we should just sit tight.

Hi I,m still trying to claim £3000+ from Yorkshire bank, they have had all the letters and kept replying the,re looking into it, then I sent a letter through the court and the court gave them till 11/07/07 to reply and they have just sent me another letter saying we,re still looking into it. Can anyone suggest what to do next as I know they are stalling me.Amanda
  • A question for those of you that have had letters from SCAM offering full settlement, how long has it taken for Lloyds to put the money into your account?

Also did it appear during the overnight banking run or during the day?
  • Hi,
