i am currently trying to get approx 1950 of charges out of lloyds and theyve offered 750 pound. i am told this is a set amount that they are offering everyone, im just wondering wether this is true and wether anyone else has refused and carried on successfully??

cheers

If you have a look through the thread then there are plenty that have re-claimed back much more than their offer

I have taken LLoyds-TSB to MCOL and they have defended, which i did not expect to be honest. I have been referred to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comSwansea County courts that have sent me their defense. But I have had no questionnaire yet, which I thought I would have needed to fill in. So, I called the court this morning and apparently my claim is sitting with the judge today!!!! Not heard nothing about this before, can someone enlighten me on the process. I am afraid that I have missed something, but only received the referral last week.

<O:pIs there anyone out there that has been to court in <ST1:pSwansea</ST1:p to claim back charges that can give me some info.<O:p</O:p

Cheers

It should have read something like without hearing but it doesnt actually give a date on this..basically what it means is the judge will be looking at your case and making an order on what happens next, you will receive this order in the post.

hi
I have just receievd a letter from LTSB saying that they are still not yet in a postion to respond fully to my claim. they enclosed a financial Ombudsman service leaflet saying i could get in touch with them if i am unhappy with the delay. How ever they say they would be grateful if I could please bear with them for a little time so that they may reach an amicable conclusion.

The last letter i sent was threatening court procedings.

Has anyone else received this letter?

• Another success story! (will also post in the relevant success story forum!)

Started back in March of this year, claiming back £3,238.50.
Got the usual fob-offs from Lloyds bank's Andover centre so threatened court action on 2nd May. They failed to respond, so commenced MCOL after fourteen days.
Anyway, Lloyds solicitors eventually responded saying they were intending to defend the case. However the following day, I got another letter from them saying they would settle in full with me!

Sent the acknowledgement slip back by recorded post, which they got on monday, and the money has appeared in my account today!

CLAIMED: £3,238.50
RECIEVED: £4, 240.12 (including court charges paid and interest recalculated!)

:money: THANK YOU MARTIN AND EVERYONE HERE! :money:

Currently I am claiming through the FSO.
2 questions.
1 Has anyone else used the FSO and what was the outcome?
2 I am expecting at some point to get an offer, this will properly have a gagging clause and legal terms stopping me making further claims. I am aware that people may have a claim to get charges back for 6 years plus and this being investigated and Lloyds would be aware of this. Would any conditions Lloyds put on an offer i.e. stopping me making further claims, be unfair or illegal? Thanks for any response.

hi, i am new to this but my story is:

paid my tenner for my statements and received them all perfectly only bit that went smooth lol. Didnt get a reply from my first letter i sent so left it longer than the 14 days i gave them to reply then i sent the second letter saying i am taking them to court and i received a response pretty much saying there not going to pay anything out and we are sorry your unhappy blah blah.

My question has anybody received this from Lloyds and if yes what did you do next i am thinking of going straight for the small claims court but i cant get there website up. Any suggestions everything is greatfully received.

Many thanks for reading

Martz

Martz - the letter you received from lloyds is very much standard and i think i am fair in saying the majority of us have received the classic fob off letter. If you have sent the letter stating unhappy with the response and if you dont pay up your going to court then i would start proceeding online at MCOL. I am pretty new to this also and am at the same stage as you - if anyone disagrees please shout up as i am registering on MCOL next wednesday

Thanks
Mandy
