If you want to do it quickly, do it yourself! The going rate is 0% and you will always know where you are.
Seriously, it is the safest, most efficient way to do it. It is really not rocket science. Even I managed to do it..
  • i don't know where i'm up to, i sent 3rd letter and recieved letter saying on hold way back in june. what do i do now then, do i start again.

    3rd Letter?

In that case, its time to start the court claim! In fact you should have done that back in June, you might have had it settled by now.
Its pretty much a given that your claim will be stayed (put on hold) until the end of the test case, but it will be accepted and it will be settled once the case is over. A claim company will not be able to achieve better than that, it goes for everyone.
  • is there much point with the court date with OFT so soon.

    Yes absolutely!

The sooner you do it, the sooner it will get settled after the case and the more interest you will get.

I had my chares back b4 the saga of the test case,

but this is the way that I look at it:

say for example you have 200 people started the process for bank charges and have their case in the queue or the case has been put on hold.

Then along comes the test case, and yes the consumer wins, banks are only allowed to chage £5.00 per incident.

Way hey we all shout the little man has won - next step, Im sure i got charged back in 2005, I know I'll start a claim x 1000 people

Now we have the original 200 + new 1,000 people - whos going to getin 1st the people who started their action b4.

    I personally would like to be nos 1 - 200,not no 1199!

Ok Im making a joke of it - but its to get the idea in perspective, and why pay a management company 30 - 40% there do exactly the same as what your doing. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

to go to court it depends on the amount you are claiming, when I did mine it was £60 I was claiming £600.00, I had a full out of court settlement, inc costs, charges and interest.

Its unlikely you would have to go to court, but possible, at any time before the court hearing, youcasn pull out. x
