Lloyds TSB

Hi All,
I received the £750 offer last night. I was asking for £1,600 originally so I'm half tempted to take this offer but I think I'd kick myself if I didnt at least try for more!
If Lloyds thought they were going to win this test case then they wouldnt be paying out these sums to everybody so obviously they see this going nowhere fast. I am going to call up Andover and ask them to up the offer to £1000. last time I managed to get through to them I had a good result after charming one of the ladys down there! I fancy my chances of getting an extra £250 from them to make me go away - what do we think?! I know they've got to adhere to principles and wont want to be seen to be caving in but it's either £250 now or I go to court eventually so I'm hopeful I can get them up to £1,000.
How do you rate my chances - has anyone tried similar? I was going to do it on the phone and try and give someone the blag as clearly if I send a letter along with every other person it'll just get lost in the ether.
Any help much appreciated.

I got a notification of Transfer of Proceedings on 21st June. The letter made little sense so I gave the court a ring and she told me that I should hear from them in about 3 weeks. Well I didn't so I thought I'll just sit and be patient, good things come to those that wait. In the meantime the banks decide to hold this test case and I don't know what the hell is going on.
I guess the first thing I need to do is ring the court. Someone I know has just had an offer from Lloyds for just £100 less than what she was claiming! I just feel very hard done by and my financial situation is taking over my life. I'm sinking and need that money!!!0 -
Incidentally the charges I was reclaiming equals the amount I am overdrawn by....I'm just so down beat at the mo0

Give them a ring mate & see what response you get. It is likely they are under a mountain but Im sure as the days tick on they will get quicker at responding. Shame you arent with Natwest like me, they pay up then offer me it all again
Personally I think this whole test case is a blag & it just gives the banks & the FO chance to clear some paper work, then it will prevent some people from applying for charges & others will have accepted lesser amounts... just my viewsOfficial DFW Member 587 :T0 -

technically it should go to your account holding branch, however it can go to any branch.
find your branch here:

Hi, I haven't taken the bank to court yet because of the test case but it is at the stage where I need to. I received a letter today offering me £750, there is no-where in the letter saying what to do to decline this. (I am owed nearly £5000) what can I do? They will just put this money in my account which will be eaten by the overdraft anyway and I obviously want to go near the full amount or even half would be adequate!! what can I do?
