I posted on here this morning about LloydsTSB wishing to defend and for me to contact my Local Branch Manager in a letter I received from LloydsTSb solicitors SCMC - Their letter dated 17th July 2007.
NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES AGO - I greet our posty which he hands me several letters, once of which looks exactly like the one I received yesterday from SCMC??? very odd I thought, so I opened it.
GET THIS - Letter dated 17th July 2007
Strictly without Predudice Confidential ...I read On...page 2...
SUCCESS !!!!!!!
They're apying me the full hit including court fees... Excellent - no court or anything, and funny, becsue I had just started printing out my stuff for my bundle.
Excellent!!! I've Won..
Keep on going folks - it's worth it!
Thanks Martin & the crew on here (forums) :money:
Still waiting for our First Direct claim to come through :beer:0 -
Hey everyone, I need some help!
I'm going to court in three weeks (well, that's when I'm supposed to go!). and the bank should have submitted their skeletal legal arguments by yesterday.
I can now ask the judge to not hear any legal arguments submitted by them in court, I'm not sure how to write it or word it, any advice?0 -
its been 44 days since i sent out 2nd letter does anyone know of a phone number to ring, i've tried 01264 725214 for last 5 days but no chance.
many thanks.0 -
This is just a standard letter from Lloyds, carry on with the court claim, you have sent them the letter giving them 14 days notice before you take action so stick with your deadlines, if they choose to send irrelevant letters thats their problem. You will probably start to get more sensible answers from them when you file your claim against them in Court and they see you mean business0

Hi All
I rang Scam today to ask how long it would be till i got my money, the girl on the phone was very nice and told me there is a back-log so it would be between 2-3 weeks, not what i wonted to hear but what can i do.
Sorry to ask again but does anyone know if there is a temp letter telling the court you are taking a full and final offer, would be great if some-one could help.
thanks0 -

The day before i recieved a letter from SCAm stating that they wanted a detailed breakdown of all of the claim that i am making. Which i sent off to them by fax on the same day. The claim is £1200 in charges (inc the intereset that they were charging), as well as the 8% interest and MCOL fee's totalling £1900ish.
Firstly, Have i made an error in charging them for the interest that they were charging me on the charges (could be confusing), as well as the extra 8% that i have calculated on the total.
Secondly, as i have only 5 days before my hearing, what do i need to do and take with me, as i can't see this one being settled in the short time remaining.
Very, very nervous Rich now.
Sorry I missed this post. Is it a full hearing you have or have they said its an 5 minute hearing or anything like that? Generally the letter should tell you also what you should take to the court, does it say anything?
Yes you've made an error in claiming back the interest they have charges you, do you know exactly how much this is?0 -
sounds like another amendment coming up to me lass what about you lol0

will do, i think the best thing to do is send them by recorded delivery in future.
have you tried number, what a waste of time, the thing that does my head in most is the yank voice saying voice mail is full.

Wayhay!!!!! Victory tastes so sweet!
My claim has been dragging on since sending my first letter back in February. I really thought I was getting nowhere as, no matter how many success stories you read on here, you always get the feeling that it's too good to be true.
Got back from holiday this morning and there were 2 letters from SCAM waiting at the doorstep (both dated Wed 18th July).
1st one says we will be defending (received a court date last week for 8th Aug) and to arrange a meeting with my branch manager. 2nd one (dated same date remember) says again that they will be defending and my grounds for the claim are misconceived but they will settle in full to avoid a dispute.
Thanks so much to this website and all those who have given me advice over the months. To those still in the process - soldier on, there's not long to go now! I'm off to book a holiday now. Thanks again!0
