Book them into the Travelodge quick! Tell them you will be away (again) and that you will see them when you get back. and under no circumstances allow them through the door!
Honestly, you are a super person and they are bordering on 'Toxic'.0 -
My god I would move house if I were you! Escape! Pack and go!
Lol Christ your life will never be your own again. What an absolute nightmare
What an awful situation to be in.
I'd rather cut all ties than live like that.
My dad only stays with me for a week or two a year and I'm always relieved and happy to wave him off :j0 -
If it were me, I'd make an effort
I don't know how old they are but carry on like this and they'll rewrite their will and leave everything to a local stray cat sanctuary.
Keep the peace or be mortgaged forever0 -
What on earth does your OH think of all this??0

No amount of money which might be left as an inheritance is worth putting up with the stress of these people living in your house.0 -
Why did you buy a house with a view to them moving into it too? That's the last thing you need! You need to rethink that one before they get a foot in the door.
If they get in you are going to have serious trouble getting them out again.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..

He is dreading it. He has seen first-hand my parents behaviour towards me- opening my mail, binning items of my clothing/ornaments/pictures, the sulks, the strops.. and understandably he doesn't want to live like that in his own house.0 -

Mortgaged forever seems like the better choice
(Not to mention they are so unstable - they could move in -never leave and STILL leave everything to the cats home !!)
Is your OH prepared to be "the bad guy" and shoulder the blame so you can say "I'm sorry but my husband says no you can't stay as he has a lot of pressure at work, exams coming up so needs quiet at home ....or whatever OP ?
Where is their furniture going ?
Hopefully a nice big storage bill will keep them motivated to find somewhere quickly. Do they intend to rent or buy ?
I think I'd invent a boiler problem ....no heating or hot water in your flat so they will be better off at the Travelodge, could be a couple of months to fix !!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I think that you should direct your parents to the problems that your mother might have in accessing NHS care and also benefits.0
