So people can't have bought one and then needed a quick sale for cash?

Maybe they can, however to reinforce an earlier point, I don't see any reason for you now to be able to return the phone.

It was sold as described was it not?

I think you have misunderstood where most private sellers get their phones from when they sell on ebay. However, you do not have the right to a change of mind return if this is a private seller, purely because you misunderstand how phone contracts work.

I have not misunderstood how phone contracts work whatsoever? Okay so explain this to me if the phone belongs to him then why is it blocked if he does not meet the payments why would the carrier do this if it belongs to him?

Yes the phone was as described I phone 6 grey 16gb etc but not the fact the seller is paying it off for the next 2 years while I'm using it and can be blocked at any given point

But the phone isn't blocked, or have you now decided to claim it is to make your case?

So you would like to return something that was sold as described because something might happen in the future?

No the phone is not blocked to my knowledge I haven't even opened it out of the cellophane as I want a refund my point is for the next 2 years I'm treading on egg shells thinking am I going to wake up to a blocked phone? Do you personally think I have the right to know that I am buying a contract phone in somebody else's name I feel as though I'm getting flamed for this?

Thanks for all the replies guys even if you don't agree with me

It was not sold as described locked to EE does not mean it's tied into a contract. If he had of said something along the lines of - iPhone 16gb grey, locked by EE into a contract which I will be paying for the next 2 years I wouldnt of touched this phone with a 10 foot barge pole
