Hi October, its good to see you back! Sorry to hear about the horrific train journey, I had one of those a few years ago when it snowed in December.
I like the idea of doing a toiletries inventory! I might have to do that, I'm sure after christmas me and hubby don't need to buy anything for at least a couple of months!!
  • Nothing like a bit of organisation and tidiness to help clear the mind and set you on the right path! Good luck tomorrow morning! Xx

  • Hi everyone!

Well decluttering wasn't too bad. I got a lot done but not all of it. Having said that, I've done a month's worth of washing today in the laundrette and I think I will need a loan to cover the costs!! Having said that the laundry is all clean and tidy and my OH's lounge pants are no longer walking around by themselves!!

My DM was talking with me today and I was telling her stories about my OH and she was in fits of laughter. He is definitely a character. Just doing his laundry is an experience in itself. One of his tshirts has so many holes there is very little of it left. However, should I dare suggest getting rid of it then all hell breaks loose.

I have a few more jobs to do tomorrow. I need to hoover and finish off some dishes but I think I achieved a lot today. So much so that my back is protesting quite a bit. I went shopping with OH earlier and he is calling me an old lady because I bought a shopping trolley. :rotfl: The thing is, I want to lose weight and save money in the new year and I figured that I would invest in a trolley so that I could walk to my nearest leedal or Aldee and get my shopping cheaper and some exercise in the process. Pulling a trolley is a lot lot easier than carry tonnes of carrier bags. We'll see :)

The plan for tonight is a shower, pizza for dinner and then curl up in bed with OH watching zombies (walking zombies ;) my Xmas pressie from the OH)

I hope you all have a fantastic New Year's Eve.

    Happy New Year!

    Hello Lovelies and Dairy!

    :jHappy New Year!:j

Well the last three days have been exhausting! I am so glad to be back at work for a rest!! I have done so much and I am so pleased with myself. Here's what I have completed so far..

    • Sorted out a month's worth of washing.
    • Sorted out five drawers so that I can put away said washing.
    • Changed my bed
    • Got rid of 5 black sacks of rubbish
    • Sterilized and washed all cups, glasses and dishes that had been in my housemate's room for months (He put them in the dishwasher but then left them in there for a week. They were still mouldy!! _pale_ )
    • Cooked up two batches of Bolognaise sauce.
    • Prepared rolls for OH and I for lunches
    • Cleaned the kitchen
    • Done a shop for this week using my Mr As voucher so no spending.
Phew.. No wonder my back has been hurting so much!! However, I still have the below to do..

    • Hoovering my room thoroughly
    • Finish putting away the last of the washing and doing one more load from this week
    • Clean my laptop table and get things more officey for my job hunting.
    • Prepare my budget for this month
    • Ironing
Still plenty to do but every job I get done, the more happy I feel. It's like another weight is lifted. I didnt realise how much things were bothering me.

I am a little concerned about a letter my DM got. My bills and bank statements go to my house because I dont like financial documents going to my shared flat, just in case. Well I just got a new contract with Eee Eee. My DM opened my letter from Orannge and they want to charge me £60 when my normal bill is £38.00. I expected a last bill or a large bill from Eee Eee as I pay my OH's contract. The Eee Eee bill should be around £70ish. My DM is sending me the letter as it all sounds a little odd. I will keep you posted.

Little bit tired today, been taking the OH to work at 5:30am and I think it is taking it's toll a little bit. He hasn't helped me with any of the chores this week and was rather put out when I asked him to take the rubbish to the bin outside. I try not to get angry about it but I got myself up to take him to work every morning on my days off and worked my socks off to get things organised. He hasn't even praised me on sorting out all his clothes. I cleaned his desk, sorted out his drawers and washed and folded all his clothes. Not to mention cooked dinners and acted as taxi service. I know he is tired and his job is very physical but a little appreciation at the very least would be nice. :(

I shouldn't moan, he is a caring guy and so much better than my ex. I have been irrationally fearful that he will suddenly dump me as my ex did that this time last year. It's silly as I know deep down he won't do that and he lives with me so why would he suddenly up and leave?

On a more positive note, I am trying to track my calories with MyFPal. I am also tracking my steps which aren't many as I am sat in the office all day. Still a good start to the year. Really want to lose some weight. Thinking I should maybe do a detox diet one week just to start me off on the right track. I will think on it over the next week or so. Got to plan some meals for this week.

My year started with 2 NSDs which I am proud of. I want to make my target of 10 this month as my budget is tight and I have plenty of food at home. Must stop buying water too. It's free out the tap! :rotfl:

Anyway, rambled enough for one entry... Monz, Beanie, Lucky, everyone! .. I can't wait to share this year with you all! I am so positive this is going to be a good one!! :T

ETA: Should I invest in a printer? I don't have one at home as I have always used the work one but I might need to print letters and CVs for applications later on? What do you all think?

    Hello October

Must admit, I can't do without my printer, especially ad I couldn't use the one at work for personal use.

I also have one with a scanner and now scan and shred most of my documents to go paper free but keep a record.

Well done on your hardwork.... Look forward to sharing 2015 with you
