    Hellloooooo :)

So some interesting things have happened the last few weeks. With the announcement that the baseline interest rate was going up I thought it was important to make sure I had a fixed term on my mortgage. I booked an appointment for today, Well 5 minutes after making the appointment I had a phone call from the person I was meant to see. She gave me some incorrect information saying I had a fixed term for 10 years (I knew for certain I didnt) and she kept trying to get me to cancel my appointment. I explained that I also wanted to talk about releasing some equity and she insisted I fill out lots of forms online. Well after a lot (and I mean A LOT) of missed calls, emails, answerphone messages and text messages in a three day period I gave up and cancelled my appointment. I was really angry at the service so I wrote a complaint. I got a call back from the complaints team and told them everything that happened. I got the information I needed in 5 minutes. He told me I had fixed my mortgage last year for 5 years so I didn't need to worry and as an apology for the hassle I'd been given they gave me £150!! I was shocked. I didn't complaint expecting compensation but it was a nice surprise.

I managed to lose 10 pounds which I was pleased with. Just got to keep it off. I am trying to keep up with my meal prep, got to do some this evening.

I am keeping track of my spending this month as I want to see how much I can stretch my monthly money. I did a table sale with my DM on Saturday and we made £20. So that's £160 extra income this month which is helpful.

I have managed to get up to date on all my work today which is why I have had some time to come and post. Trying to fit everything in is hard. I did some housework yesterday so I have a sparkly bathroom and my bedroom is looking a lot tidier. Need to do a lot more as I am trying to do a big sort out and we are due an agency inspection soon.

I am going to have a peek at some of your diaries as I finally have some time.

    Happy saving/debt busting!

    October xx
