Hello everyone this is Mr October the other half to October starter.

Well I am not really sure on how to start this off really so I will just come out with it at the moment I have an income of zero pounds at the moment with an outgoing of just under £250. At the moment my father is giving me the money to pay it off but of cause that isn’t a long term option.

So I am here to look into other ways of gaining money so I can become self-sufficient. I already selling items online but it is up and down every month.

So here is my breakdown of my financial position.

    Income

    Father : £250
    Selling online : £0-£40

    Outgoings

    Loan: £105.27
    Credit card minimal payments: £139.21

So any advice would be awesome

    Hi Mr O

    Welcome to the gang.

Could you do surveys in your spare time? Prolific Academy is quite good, although quiet at the moment due to the holidays.

I do Prolific Academy, Valued Opinions & One Poll regularly but there are others that do way more than that. PA and OP pay money out but VO do vouchers.
  • Hi Pmo2!

I might do those as well. Could probably get a few done after work everyday. Any particular things to do/look out for?

    Hi Lovely,

Not what I'm aware of, the PA one builds up quickly and its best if you hang on to £20 before cashing out, HiddenIdentity and a few others make a good profit from that one. Onepoll you need to hit £40 before it pays out. Valued Opinions, you can start to get vouchers once you hit £10.50.
  • I do GlobalTestMarket, YouGov and Valued Opinions Xx
    Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

  • Hi All

Well I signed up with PA and currently going through the process to sign up to GlobalTestMarket. I will do the others as well and I think MrO is going to do the same.

I have been off work the last couple of days with a terrible headache. The plus side is that it meant two NSDs! :j

We have been looking at bills today which has been crappy. We are still having to pay our council tax on our old flat as the local council were extremely slow in sorting out our bill. Now we have two bills to pay! We paid half of the old one and the first instalment of our current one so hopefully they will be ok with that.

We are trying to get some income in other than my wages. I am going to do a car boot sale with my DM and we are both trying to sell items on Ebay. We just need to get around to putting them on there!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing ok. Talk more tomorrow.

    October xx
  • Morning October,

Hope your headache has subsided today? Yay to the unintentional NSDs.

Boo to sorting out bills, I hate that job.

Good luck with the car boot and the eBay sales.
  • Hi Everyone!

    Weekend is here! :j

Today has been horrendous at work. One of my managers likes to take her stress out on me and I feel like she has shouted at me continuously from the moment I started to the moment I finished. This isn't the case as she had meetings but sure does feel like I have her voice ringing in my ears! :rotfl:

So money saving today hasn't been an NSD as I spent 50p on Jaffa cakes :( So close! I have to say they were half price so I couldn't resist when I was adding money to our gas and electric.

The surveys are coming along nicely. I have completely a number on the GlobalTestMarket and managed to gain £3.38 on PA. :T I keep doing as many as I can, when I can. Mr O is doing the same and mostly our surveys are the same so double the income! I am hoping to get my £50 extra income this month. I have to wait for the surveys to be confirmed though. I am doing my car boot sale on Sunday with DM so hoping that will bring in some income. I am still trying to keep a spending diary.

I spent £20 yesterday on deposits for Mr O and I to go to my Christmas party. It's a pricey affair £60 for the both of us  but it's a three course meal and a Tina Turner tribute. It's far enough in advance that I can slowly get the money together and it will be nice to have a night out. I always get invited out by my work colleagues but I am not so sure of the new area and my anxiety plays up. Mr O is going to be my security blanket

I am going to catch up with your diaries. I have been either too poorly or too busy to have time lately. Then on to more surveys!

    Have a wonderful weekend Lovelies

    October xx
  • Hi Everyone!

Sooo....... I have had a super busy, very MSE weekend! I took my DM out for the day on Saturday and even though I protested a lot, she paid for most things. On Sunday we did a car boot sale and I brought in an extra £40!

Extra income is coming along nicely with the surveys and I think we definitely have the bug. Going to look at joining a few more sites to earn more income. I will let Mr O give you more info on that bit! hehe.

Coming back to work after such a busy weekend has been tough. I am not enjoying my job as much as I would like and thinking about having a look at other opportunities. I just have to make sure my wages stay the same or increase. I don't want to get stuck in a rut.

Sunday was my 5th NSD! I am going to try and get two more this week. I will be doing the weekly shop tonight so no NSD today unfortunately.

Hope you are all doing well. Will try and catch up on your diaries soon.

    October xx
