Thanks Purplemum
Yesterday was a NSD! I had aimed for today to be the same but unfortunately, someone mentioned McDonalds breakfast at work and I caved. Terrible for my money saving and for my attempts at losing weight!
I am looking forward to a restful weekend. There is a free concert/event at a local park on Sunday which OH and I might attend. The weather isn't forecast to be good but we will see. We have these ridiculous blow up loungers in bright purple which we will take with us. I will find a pic...
They are lightweight and quite fun though so will be super comfy to chill out and listen to the music.
Anyone else got some fun plans for the weekend?

Thanks Lucky!
So today is payday. This is my fresh start day. I have got a budgeting diary and I am recording everything. I am also trying to eat healthily to lose weight and be in a better state of health. I started over a month ago and been a bit yoyo. My weight has been up and down like no ones business. I have weighed this morning though and have started my new resolve with a 5lb loss! :j
So a little bit of a breakdown in budgets etc.
Income - £1487.66
Wages after tax: £1337.66
DM Contributions: £150.00
Outgoings - £1150.44
Mortgage: £336.65
Loan Repayment: £151.85
Rent: £325.00
Council Tax: £130.00
Gas/Electric: £50.00 (on key meters at moment)
Sky Package: £46.34
TV Licence: £29.10 (Should reduce this month)
Mobiles (me and OH): £46.50
Water/Sewege: £35.00 (Need to check this)
So currently I have £337.22 to get me through each month including food shopping and a minimum payment on my credit card.
Goals for this month
NSDs: 10
lbs Lost: 10
Additional income through selling: £50
Wish me luck! Oh and OH is going to join me on MSE! :T

Hi Beanie
Our contract runs out in September and we are going to adjust it considerably. We got the higher contract when we were staying with DM but now it's just too much.

Afternoon All,
Well today is the first day of August and my first NSD of the month. I have been reading the forums to get some ideas for money saving/generating. I signed up today to one of the shopping scanner companies. Thought it would help generate some pennies. OH has signed up and I am hoping he won't be too shy and will start posting soon. I am sharing my diary with him as we pretty much have the same financial situation.

Morning Everyone!
I have a dilemma. I'm getting my £500 deposit back from our old Landlord and I am not sure what to do with it. Here are the options OH and I came up with, what do you all think?
1. Put it all towards my credit card
2. Put it all towards my emergency fund
3. Split it and put it towards both
4. Save it for car payments in October (tax, insurance, MOT etc)
Today won't be a NSD as OH and I need to do some essentials shopping. The usual bread, ham, fruit etc. I am going to write a list so we don't get distracted. I also invested in a bug net from Ebay as we are both being eaten alive at night. It was £1.99 and will cover the window.
Not much else to update at the moment. I will go wander the forums for a bit.
